Hey @laurenboebert, when are you introducing an expulsion resolution against @CoryMillsFL?
@NancyMace What say you?
English

@TheWarMonitor This unfortunately backfired and now we all know why Iran was handled the way it’s been handled for years because this deviation created an entire mess. The most we can all hope for is a rapidly approaching endgame to this all.
English

So when’s the resignation @CoryMillsFL? Clocks ticking.
English

@Polymarket It would seem an escalation is on the horizon.

@DAColeman111959 Glad to see it was a non-issue, let’s hope it remains that way.

HORMUZ UPDATE:
Iran has now turned back 20 vessels attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz today and the US "blockade" has turned back a total of 23 vessels.
It appears we are now entering a complete shutdown of the Strait of Hormuz.
Prior to the US blockade, vessels from Iran and Iran's allies were permitted to sail through the Strait of Hormuz.
Now, under the US "blockade," the US is prohibiting vessels from accessing Iran's ports and coast.
We may be seeing the first ever complete shutdown of Hormuz.
More details to come shortly.

@DAColeman111959 So many things scream staged here unfortunately, these likely are not the current situation.
I’d love to believe it though but way too rehearsed.

Man, this is straight-up chaos in real time.
Iran’s foreign minister says the Strait is wide open for business. Trump jumps in, thanks them, talks about mines being cleared, “never closing it again,” and even indefinite nuclear suspension.
Then bam, Iran’s parliament speaker calls it all BS (“seven false claims”), they slam it shut again, and now gunboats are reportedly firing on tankers.
Sounds like Iran opened it as part of the Lebanon ceasefire deal, but they’re not cool with the US keeping the naval blockade on their ports. Trump’s like, “blockade stays till we have a real agreement.”
Classic case of both sides talking past each other while the world holds its breath over 20% of global oil flow. Oil prices gotta be loving this rollercoaster.
Feels like either bad comms, internal hardliner pushback in Tehran, or some backchannel games we’re not seeing. What do you think is really going on behind the scenes?
English

What just happened?
Yesterday, at 8:45 AM ET, Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi announced that the Strait of Hormuz was "completely open" for all commercial vessels.
At 9:06 AM ET, President Trump thanked Iran for reopening the Strait.
Then, at 10:20 AM ET, Trump said Iran and the US were working together to remove all mines from the Strait of Hormuz.
Between 10:40 AM ET and 12:00 PM ET, President Trump said Iran agreed to "never close the Strait again" and to "suspend its nuclear program indefinitely."
Suddenly, at 6:14 PM ET, Iran's Speaker of the Parliament said Trump made "seven claims in one hour, all seven of which were false."
Now, Iran has CLOSED the Strait of Hormuz again and oil tankers are being struck.
What just happened behind the scenes?
English

We need a president who’s straight with us, not some cheerleader pumping up imaginary wins. Iran just flat-out rejected talks unless we lift the naval blockade and drop the ‘unreasonable demands.’ So much for a deal in a day or two. Time for real talk, not hype.
I would have agreed to drop the blockade on the condition that the Strait is FULLY opened.

@AP @deuceohsixx Nursing homes 'discharging' vulnerable patients to shelters the second funding dries up? Bypassing rules and follow-up care. Could this be Medicaid fraud in disguise, maximizing reimbursements then dumping the expensive cases? Needs real scrutiny beyond the citations.

Peace when markets are open
War when markets are closed
Acyn@Acyn
Reporter: If you don’t have a deal by Wednesday, will you extend the ceasefire or restart attacks? Trump: Maybe I won’t extend it… and we’ll have to start dropping bombs again.
English

Let’s revisit Monday when it shoots back up because it fell on misaligned information. The Strait isn’t fully open and any further hostilities and it’s right back above $100.

@gbrew24 Treasury Secretary Bessent just said on April 15 we won't renew the Russian oil sanctions waiver... then on the 17th they quietly issued a new one for another month anyway.
Public tough talk, private oil flow. Classic.
English

US very quietly extended the sanctions waiver for Russian oil for another month.
