Stress releases cortisol in our bodies, and an excess of cortisol causes our bodies to store belly fat. What would happen if we had compassion for people like me who have gained a large belly during times of unrelenting stress, instead of immediately judging us as lazy/unworthy?

Hey friends, a friend of mine was just diagnosed with #LongCovid and it is a big reminder to me how little information folks have to identify what is happening to them, so I’m just gonna share a few clues and what they mean.

@_chaiandvibes @theashrb I have super sensitive skin (eczema and redness galore), and while I love COSrx stuff in general, the straight snail mucin is too strong for me. Peach Slices has a toner/essence that works really well as it's not as strong.

That Korean snail mucin serum and face cream is top notch stuff… I’m convinced it’s secretly an anti-ageing formula of some sort because I have been using it for a good two months and the results have been very dramatic.

@kaelyxm @harrysonone @FirstGentleman We had a really good after school program, and I was allowed to take my lunch at the end of the work day which made it work (I always ate lunch at my desk anyway). That extra day made it possible for me to volunteer at my kid's school sometimes, it was great.

@harrysonone @FirstGentleman I used to have a 4/10 week. My mental health improved sooooo much. I could get all my errands done, and had time to meet up with a friend on one day, and could rest for a full day. People would ask me if I got tired working 10 hours, but really it was just a couple hours more.

@FirstGentleman The 40 hour work week could be done in four 10 hour shifts rather than five 8's, and substantial evidence supports that work models with 3 day weekends enhance overall work output by workers when theyre on the clock for the other 4 days.

@jduffyrice I'm lucky in that my job pays me for jury duty. I've served twice and while I wouldn't say it was enjoyable, it was so interesting! Whenever I get called up I always hope to be picked, it's nice to get out of the office and do something different.
