If these numbers hold up, their implication is pretty staggering: the U.S. House being modestly biased in DEMOCRATS’ favor, in aggregate, for the first time since the early 1990s. Republicans’ geographic advantage in redistricting has not just eroded but actually flipped.
Dave Wasserman@Redistrict

New @CookPolitical: as in 2022, House Dems are reaping a slight "battleground bonus" - they're on track to win ~48.5% of all major party votes cast for House but ~49.4% of seats. cookpolitical.com/vote-tracker/2…

So grateful to Californians for giving me this opportunity to represent them. Bringing down the cost of housing, child care, food and medicine — these are my priorities. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves, find people across the aisle, and make sure we deliver.

Sorry @tribelaw but after 4 years of research into the Nazis what I learned is that a Constitution is a piece of parchment that becomes useless as soon as someone has the supporting cast to overthrow it. Trump has that in the GOP who will follow him in this as in all things.
Laurence Tribe 🇺🇦 ⚖️@tribelaw

I respect those who say otherwise, but it’s just not true that “all the guardrails are gone.” They’re weakened, but many remain — at the state and local levels, and even in key aspects of federal law that remain very much in place. Our Constitution is more than just empty words.

Updated estimate: Harris 75.8m votes (48.5%) Trump 78.3m votes (50.0%) others 2.3m votes (1.5%) --------- Total: 156.5m votes (Trump + 1.5%) So safe to assume Trump wins the popular vote. Whether he gets an outright majority could be very close.

Saying it again 49.9% with a 1.5% margin is not an overwhelming majority. Stop feeding the narrative that he won overwhelmingly. The nation is split as it has been and he won on the margin. Half the nation said “no” and let’s not act otherwise

They do not believe he lies. They do not believe he committed any crimes. They have been told and 50 million believe that WE are the liars and WE are the criminals. And they’re going to come for us.

LISTENING TIME: As a journalist who cares deeply about facts, I have struggled to understand why people did not view Donald Trump's constant lies to be repugnant. If you voted for him, how do you reconcile that issue with your vote? #HonestQuestion
