My Tesla is the best and lowest maintenance car I've ever owned. A few of the highlights, in no particular order: ⭐ Wake up every morning with a "full tank of gas" ⭐ Fastest acceleration of virtually any production vehicle. You press down on the pedal and it just immediately gets there. No lag. ⭐ Memory everything. Memory seat positions, air vent positions, mirror positions, settings, etc. ⭐ Ability to program keys (keycards, phones, etc.) self-service on the touchscreen. Non-Tesla vehicles require dealer visits and $100+ of fees. ⭐ Full self driving available for $99/mo. And smart summon can pick you up at the front of the parking lot ⭐ Sentry mode records from all cameras while you're away, helping to deter vandalism. Also has a dashcam when you're driving. ⭐ Watch Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc. on the screen when parked. (e.g. supercharger or waiting for your food order at somewhere like Sonic) ⭐ No concept of "idling" (like in a conventional car) means you can tell the car to maintain the temperature while you're away. e.g. When I'm hiking on a hot day, I tell the car to maintain the 70°F interior temp while I'm gone so I don't come back to a hot car. ⭐ There's a "dog mode" that maintains the interior temperature and puts a message on the screen that says "My driver will be back soon. Don't worry! The A/C is on and it's 70°F" in case you need to make a quick stop while you have your dog with you. ⭐ One-pedal driving. Press down to accelerate, let up to brake. Kindof like a go-kart. It's weird at first but far superior once you get used to it. ⭐ Light show. You can play music from the car's exterior speakers, synchronized to the lights and motorized parts of the car (trunk, windows, mirrors, etc.). They recently pushed an update allowing you to trigger it from your phone, which is cool because you can do that when you're looking for your car in a big parking lot at night. ⭐ All the typical premium features you'd expect like heated seats, self-dimming mirrors, heated wipers, wiper fluid that comes directly out of the wiper, projection headlights, etc. Double-pane frameless windows. ⭐ Whole-car defrost mode. Press a button in the app, wait 30-ish minutes, and it melts the snow/ice off all windows and roof. ⭐ Premium sound system. They designed it custom with a bunch of former Bang and Olufsen engineers. ⭐ No concept of "On". You get in, put it in gear, and start driving. ⭐ Everything is super low latency and streamlined. My wife's Chevy takes like 6 - 10 seconds before the touchscreen lets you start pressing buttons. My Tesla always reacts immediately, within milliseconds. When I open the door, the music is *already playing.* The music volume lowers automatically when I open the door and raises back up afterwards. ⭐ Calendar integration. If I have an event on my phone calendar, it automatically queues that up in the car's navigation ahead of the event time. ⭐ Entire roof is glass. Makes for an awesome sunroof and makes it very easy to clean. (Just need some Windex) ⭐ Extremely low maintenance. No oil changes. No transmission fluid changes. And the brakes don't wear down as fast because most of the "braking" is done with regenerative braking that doesn't actually use the car's brakes. And I'm definitely forgetting tons of other features. And the OTA updates allow them to keep pushing out more and more features. In addition to regular updates throughout the year, they have a Christmas update every December with a bunch of nice "big" features.

Yesterday a fragment from an Iranian missile fell on a Tesla near Tel-Aviv, Israel. As Iran and Hezbollah from Lebanon launch thousands of rockets and ballistic missiles targeting Israeli civilians, the post also outlines safety protocols when under fire. This from the Tesla Israel Facebook group.

@elonmusk @dvorahfr The "who can reply to this" needs to be a persistent setting. Shouldn't have to manually set it for each post. Also there needs to be an option to filter "for you" by region.

I'm based in France, but 43% of my audience is American. I know many of us are in the same situation. To reach a wider audience, all my posts are in English, the international language. Those who cause trouble may be punished, but with this change, which will significantly reduce our earnings, you're also penalizing a number of accounts that use the international language without any ill intent. X tells us that videos and new, high-quality content will be prioritized, but this change will, on the contrary, drastically reduce our earnings. Is there any way to reverse this decision, please?🥺 @XCreators @X @nikitabier @elonmusk

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

@longmier I like your first sentence. But I don't like how you nonchalantly throw the demise of Uber at the feet of working class drivers, and not the company itself.

Palo Alto today. I can’t wait for these robotaxis to totally take over Ubers (those drivers are not very skilled anymore). My Tesla FSD is better than 99% of Uber drivers these days.

- Good engineers built Linux for free - Linux built the internet - The internet built Google, Amazon, Meta - Google, Amazon, Meta became trillion dollar companies - Trillion dollar companies open sourced their problems - Open source solved their problems for free - Free solutions trained AI models - AI models are now sold back to the engineers who built them The people who built the foundation are now paying subscription fees to stand on it. Something feels off, right?

If you're afraid of running openclaw but want to try it: 1. Run claude --dangerously-skip-permissions in your home folder 2. Ask it to do something 3. Ask it to create a cron job on your host to do something If you can trust that you can trust openclaw.
