@arenty_

Practicing common sense - also, instraments is a reference in case you want to tell me it’s spelled incorrectly.

I’ve been briefed on the horrific incident at Grand Central this morning. Two innocent people were attacked in a senseless act of violence. I’m grateful to our brave officers who acted quickly to stop the suspect. We’re working closely with the NYPD as the investigation unfolds.

@beethovengal @arenty_ @UnitedCops And you believe by hitting someone in the head with a cooler and killing them was his duty to keep the public safe? Nope 3 to 9 years was a gift from that judge.

Career destroyed "They will be stripped of their freedom with their lives and careers destroyed, for simply doing what they are trained to do — protect the public. At the sentencing, Judge Mitchell claimed his sentencing rationale was that Sgt. Duran could have and should have just let him go and found him another day. When judges Monday-morning-quarterback police officers and instruct them to let suspects go, the public’s safety is seriously compromised. - Vincent J. @MulhollandL0ver @nypost First I saw of this case was yesterday and I’ll care about it until the POS who did it is executed. Turns out I care about putting all cold blooded murders in the ground.

@arenty_ @Vallala13 @Dom_Cotroneo You seem to be missing the actual point. When you intentionally try to get hit, you are going to increase your chances exponentially. And then crying about it later makes you a little bitch, which he is.

@BigIdiotHeatGuy I’ll give a reason why: in Chicago you can carjack someone and shoot them - gets you 1 year in jail. He then got caught a gun charge - zero prison time Then he attempted to murder 4 people. (Thank god he didn’t) Moral being, Dems create victims.

Extra grim part here isn’t just the violence, it’s the sheriff turning an execution into a slogan. If he got what he deserved becomes policy, due process is basically cosplay.

@andymcmangled @johnmhudak What we really need is to get him healthy, so we can prepare for trial and then right before it starts he can fire his lawyer and start the process allllll over again. That’s typically what happens. If a criminal doesn’t get to drag the pain and suffering is it really justice?

@arenty_ @keithdoane @MichaelH_MN Lol. Vast majority of it was Covid era federal money that would have went away anyways. Also, I'll gladly see it go away to feed kids and help those that need it since we pay more into the Fed than we get back every year.

I am imploring that the collective internet take a step back and understand how the justice system works, that this is not a plea of insanity at the time of the murder, and incompetence to stand trial is not a defense of the crime. It is a constitutionally protected right, that you have to be able to understand the proceedings and help in your defense. Also, this trial is not over, the defense and prosecutor agreed to a 180 day hold, and the trial will continue once it is determined he is fit to stand trial. I like everyone else want to see him found guilty for the heinous crime, but the rage bait/ignorance over this is too much. No matter what this guy will never walk the streets again. justia.com/criminal/proce…

@johnmhudak System needs to be reformed. Perfect example of someone who should have already been executed. What’s the hold up? He needs to be healthy before we kill him? Sounds expensive

@AMandoSch Point to where I said that dumbass. Trial & execution should take a few months when the murder is on film and there is zero question they have the right person.

@tru_hues @Anxious4Lyfe @lostmyliberal @SaraHigdon If you procedure to the fullest extent of the law or actually saves massive amounts of money. We chase the same tiny group of people around over and over again and then let them out. Takes tons of money and resources for people that should be in jail.
