X has updated its API policy and cut off apps that pay users for posting.
About a year ago, I wrote about #Kaito, a project built around rewarding content creators - mostly on X. The logic was simple: incentivize activity. The result was predictable. Once people are paid for posting, platforms get flooded with spam and AI slop. That is exactly what X says it is fighting now.
I expected $KAITO to crash on this news. The project is facing an existential problem: its core growth model no longer works. Yet the token only fell roughly in line with the broader crypto market.
