This is so fucking embarrassing. Bitcoin is a 1.6T USD asset. While the entire world is sending their best experts in cryptography and quantum physicists to debate the dangers of quantum computers, we're forced to listen to a purified influencer pleb slop gobbledygook. These people sound like they're at the verge of psychosis. I'd rather listen to a new age hippie high on DMT and it would make more sense than this.

The latest yield strategy dish. Here's a breakdown of what your looking at in a few one-liners. Vaults are heavily in the top category paid in BTC. Lombard and Solv currently get the majority of their yield from altcoin emissions converted to BTC. Hermetica is the lone outlier. Amboss continues to offer decent yield with minimal counterparty risk, but near zero ability to take on new capital. Starknet and Babylon are straight forward. Lock BTC, earn random token you hopefully sell shortly after. Starknet you bridge, Babylon you dont. The difference in APY is that opportunity cost. Read more at bitcoinyield.com. I lean towards Lightning will always tend towards being a blackbox for real data because there's too much benefit to having a yield generating path that's undiscovered. Competition kills the alpha. Strong incentive to remain quiet.

...actually I think as demand for Lightning increases the "yield" on avg should go down as more competition enters. Just normal market maths. What people miss is you have to manage a node. You can't deploy it and the just watch. It takes a professional approach like @davelund and myself have to manage the nodes liquidity for maximum flow. No Flow = No APR.✅

Not a time preference issue. Even if Lightning 100x's. Its like saying "100% of treasury companies with be economically profitable Bitcoin miners". Foolish statement. I do expect Lightning and Ark yield will go up as demand increases. But the nature of the beast will always centralize around the most efficient actors. Leading to a power law. It will likely be a gate kept solution for yield for a small subset of total deployable BTC.

@JakeBlockchain @stevenroose3 That depends entirely on your time preference. Disclosure, I’m economically incentivized to be very radical (no second best yield, there’s just LN and Ark)— AFAIK you’re incentivized to say there are are a plethora of yield options.
