NEW: Portland family sues Portland Public School district for $9 million after their daughter was allegedly ‘gang r*ped’ in the school bathroom.
The girl was allegedly assaulted by two male students in the Schools Uniting Neighborhoods program.
It gets worse. The boys only received one day of suspension and the school district didn’t even call the police.
Instead, the school conducted their own “investigation.”
The girl was allegedly lured into the bathroom with the boys threatening to find where she lived if she didn’t comply.
They then took off her pants and took turns “forcibly penetrating” her and blocked her from leaving.
School staff also allegedly interviewed the girl without notifying her parents or any legal representatives.
Insane.

During the 1970s, North Korea's founder, Kim Il-Sung, developed a significant tumor on the right side of his neck, alarmingly close to his spinal cord and brain. The tumor's precarious positioning made surgical intervention particularly complex.
In an effort to shield this medical issue from public scrutiny, images of Kim Il-Sung were deliberately captured from his left side. As the tumor expanded to the size of a baseball, photo manipulation techniques were utilized to mask its presence.
The photo in question offers a rare view of Kim Il-Sung, displaying the large tumor, during his interaction with János Kádár, the communist leader of Hungary.

On June 11, 1962, three Alcatraz inmates left homemade dummy heads in their beds to fool the guards before launching a daring escape from the infamous island prison, never to be seen again.
Though the prison officially claimed that the three men drowned and that no inmate ever successfully escaped, San Francisco police got a letter in 2013 purportedly from one of the escapees, suggesting that they'd lived free all those years.

NEW: Mother who left her 16-month-old daughter home alone while she went on a 10 day vacation sentenced to life in prison.
32-year-old Kristel Candelario left Detroit for vacation in Puerto Rico, leaving her daughter home alone.
The baby girl was found soiled with urine and feces in her playpen when Candelario finally returned.
The baby, Jailyn, died of starvation and dehydration.
When in court, Candelario tried being the victim and said she was suffering from depression.
"I’m extremely hurt about everything that happened. I am not trying to justify my actions, but nobody knew how much I was suffering and what I was going through."
Candelario was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Wow, your story hits right in the feels!
You're a rockstar for sticking with your pup through thick and thin.
It's incredible how much love and loyalty dogs bring into our lives, and it sounds like your fur baby has been a constant source of strength and joy for you and your family.
You're absolutely right, commitment is commitment, and your journey with your dog is a beautiful testament to that. Here's to many more memories with your loyal companion, grey hairs and all. Keep on being awesome!

I got my dog when I was just 19 years old and a single mother of 1. I kept my dog. I kept my dog even though I moved into an apartment and had to pay a $500 pet fee. I kept my dog when my boyfriend and I broke up and he kept the apartment even though my new place didn't allow dogs. I kept my dog when I ultimately had to move back in with my parents and she also was not allowed there. I kept my dog when I had my second child. I kept my dog when his father put all of us through hell and none of us had anywhere to go. I kept my dog when I had a penny to my name and we all ate nothing but buttered noodles for dinner. Ten years later I STILL have my dog because she is the very start of the huge family that we now have. Even though she's getting slow, eating less and turning grey I STILL HAVE MY DOG. I'm tired of hearing and reading about posts that say "getting rid of them because they don't love my new puppy" or "I want a new dog". Commitment is commitment. Credit: Ashleigh Matthews

We left today to adopt our child. When we arrived we saw her inseparable from Mavrouli, her brother. The volunteers told us that he was black and that unfortunately he was left alone because he was the only brother nobody wanted. I looked at the man "And then we thought, we want both at the same time!!!! Today we have become a family of 4!!! Let's go home!!!! I wish everyone to live so happily."

The idea that one can tarnish a legacy by playing beyond a prime is one of the worst possible takes in sport... largely pushed by the sorts obsessed with GOAT debates.
If you enjoy tennis you'll appreciate being able to see guys like Nadal, Murray, and Djokovic play against newer generations. Their achievements still stand regardless of what happens now.
English

Tarnishing my legacy? Do me a favour. I’m in a terrible moment right now I’ll give you that. Most people would quit and give up in my situation right now. But I’m not most people and my mind works differently. I won’t quit. I will keep fighting and working to produce the performances I know I’m capable of.

It’s been an incredible journey by a remarkable man. And such a privilege to bear witness to large parts of it. All good things come to an end , of course . So when should @andy_murray call time on his extraordinary career ? bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/6…

When outcomes are the only reason you're doing something, you're doing it all wrong. Yes, winning is the ultimate reward - but it's rarely why we do anything. It's to live up to our potential. He'll quit when he is good and ready and no longer growing from the sport he adores. Until then he is growing, learning, expanding and playing.

JUST IN: New Epstein document drop reveals that Jeffrey Epstein thought of org*sms like he thought of eating: 3 times a day.
According to Epstein victim Johanna Sjoberg, Epstein needed to have 3 org*sms a day.
"He explained to me that, in his opinion, he needed to have three org*sms a day. It was biological, like eating."
