The Regulatory Paradox: The RBI Stall: The @RBI Ombudsman continues to close complaints citing "Sub-Judice" grounds, despite the RBI’s own RTI (April 11) explicitly stating that court proceedings are NOT a valid excuse to stall chargebacks. The Banks' Defiance: @rblbank, @HDFC_Bank, and @ICICIBank are ignoring sworn Affidavits from SBI (April 1) and @Visa (April 6) which confirm the funds are "No-Lien" and liquid. Do these banks want the human cost of these delays to become visible at the June 10 hearing before action is taken? The Accountability Gap: Banning @WorldlineGlobal : If an aggregator can bypass the RBI’s Fair Practices framework using ‘sub judice’ delays despite RTI-backed contradictions (April 11) it raises serious regulatory concerns about their "Fit and Proper" status. The @billdesk Angle: Allowing consolidation at this stage risks merging unresolved governance issues instead of fixing them. Clean-up must precede consolidation. I have been fighting the @WorldlineGlobal India - @TheOfficialSBI case on behalf of cardholders across India, including many from Tamil Nadu who are caught in "Resolution Theatre." While the Lead Acquirer (SBI) filed an Affidavit (April 1) confirming funds are "No-Lien" and liquid, private banks like @rblbank and @HDFC_Bank (a @Mastercard issuer) continue to stall. While @Visa has asked to remove the stay in their affidavit shared on email on April 6, banks like @ICICIBank still continue to delay action. This is a test of India’s digital payment integrity. This Lenskart 'verbal update' is exactly like @rblbank sending emails that they’ve received merchant funds but refusing a chargeback because 'technically' they only credited Rs 1 to the customer. In both cases, the corporate entity tries to appease the outrage with a superficial gesture while the underlying, discriminatory logic remains untouched. It’s not an 'outdated document' issue; it’s a systemic lack of transparency. You can’t pause a video audit and call it 'progress' any more than you can credit a rupee and call it a 'refund'.

This is the right ambition for a global leader, @TVMohandasPai. But SBI’s true "aura" isn't just its balance sheet size, it is the Integrity of Governance they are currently demonstrating. While some private lenders continue to rely on ‘Sub-Judice’ and procedural positions in chargeback matters , @TheOfficialSBI has shown systemic courage: Legal Accountability: SBI took the lead in the Mumbai High Court against @WorldlineGlobal India, supporting customers by filing an Affidavit (April 1, 2026) confirming that funds are "No-Lien" and liquid. Customer Protection: They have consistently implemented chargebacks where private banks like @HDFC_Bank , @ICICIBank , and @rblbank have failed to act, proving that "Public Sector" doesn't mean "Slow", it means "Accountable." If SBI hits 25% of India’s GDP by 2030, it will be because they earned the trust of the common man through these very actions. Hope the private banks stop the "Resolution Theatre" and follow this benchmark of leadership. Onward and Upward! 📈

While the CBI arrests RCom’s top brass, @rblbank Senior Management continues to validate "merchant submissions" in matters involving these entities to stall chargebacks, ignoring the fact that the promoters are in Judicial Custody. ⚖️ This is "Resolution Theatre." RBL admitted to receiving the credit (April 8) and even deposited ₹1 as proof of account liquidity, yet the @RBI Ombudsman continues to cite "Sub-Judice" to stall flatly ignoring the RBI’s own April 11 RTI. RBL Bank & the RBI Ombudsman are running an apparent stall . ⚖️🛑 How is @RBLBank "receiving merchant docs" when the promoters are in JUDICIAL CUSTODY? Who is actually writing these emails? Why aren't authorities investigating this inconsistency? The "Blocked Funds" position has collapsed: 1️⃣ THE ADMISSION: @rblbank admitted in writing (April 8) they RECEIVED the credit. 2️⃣ THE SMOKING GUN: RBL deposited ₹1 in savings account, proof their systems are NOT frozen. You can't move ₹1 if a court has blocked the account. 3️⃣ THE RECORD: @TheOfficialSBI’s April 1 affidavit confirms funds are "No-Lien" (Liquid). THE REGULATORY FAILURE: The @RBI Ombudsman closed the case on April 16 as "Sub-Judice" flatly ignoring the RBI’s own April 11 RTI which states "Sub-Judice" is NOT a valid excuse to stall. The Ombudsman has failed to look at the evidence or follow their own department's rules. Your Senior Management Desk is still sending templated replies saying they have received documents from the merchant while the merchant while the merchant's promoters are in custody. State Bank of India’s Apr 1 affidavit confirms: • Chargebacks are upheld • Funds already debited via @Visa /@Mastercard /@RuPay_npci • Amounts held in a “No-Lien” account Yet your Senior Management Desk continues to deny credit relying on merchant submissions. What explains this inconsistency? Is this the "standard of governance" you're showing your new buyers at @EmiratesNBD_AE ? @HDFCBank_Cares This is a blatant misdirection, Ajay. My @RBI Ombudsman complaint (N202526002036990) is about HDFC’s operational failure taking an entire year just to collate my transactions. The current issue is about Restitution: April 1 (@TheOfficialSBI Affidavit): Confirms the chargeback funds are in a 'No-Lien' account. The money is recovered. April 6 (@Visa IA): The network has moved to vacate the stay. April 7 (@Mastercard): Today, Mastercard’s counsel formally streamlined communication across all parties in Commercial Suit 45/2025, indicating active engagement at the network level. Why is @HDFC_Bank citing a 'status update' on a service complaint to avoid acting on a court-confirmed recovery? Is the HDFC leadership comfortable letting recovered funds sit at the Merchant Bank while refusing to credit cardholders? This isn't a procedural overlap; it's an ethical breach. Justice Nagarathna is absolutely right on institutional independence. But “constitutional governance” must also reflect in trial-court efficiency. In IA(L) 11733/2025 (@WorldlineGlobal India (@billdesk) - @TheOfficialSBI case), after 9 adjournments, even after a hearing on April 1, the matter is pushed again due to procedural requirements across multiple defendants. Despite the Supreme Court’s stance against delays, the system still allows matters to stretch on procedural grounds. Independence at the top is critical but when will the system ensure timely outcomes at the ground level?

Thousands of Kerala and Indian cardholders continue to face delays due to repeated adjournments. @TVMohandasPai this is impacting many in Bengaluru. @Vic_Vij Absolutely.... Somehow this case is being ignored for unknown reasons whereas it's a clearcut mistake of @Worldline by tagging the transactions (Merchant 'Falcon') to the wrong MCC code leading to this fraud and they must take ownership.
