@arcalinea @favoredprisoner @RoamResearch Yeah I think Roam is great for cataloging references and storing ideas for later retrieval. But it’s not great (yet?) for word processing a final doc or collaborating ( /cc @josephflaherty )

@favoredprisoner @RoamResearch Yeah it seemed like the utility I'd get from Roam would only come after becoming really dedicated to linking everything in Roam... would be nice if linking were more automated or something? As is, it added extra overhead to jotting down or copy-pasting notes.

So I used @RoamResearch for about a month... and then went back to google docs. It didn't feel that great for writing and editing long-form text, and docs were an easier cutting board for my misc notes. Anyone from #roamcult want to try and convince me otherwise?

@DanGrover I’ve been using Otter.ai and it is amazing. It live transcribes my Zoom calls - I almost always pull up the transcript and then can highlight important stuff as we go.

What do people use for taking notes on calls? I use notebooks because typing is noisy over VC and seems like I'm doing something else and not paying attention. But I despise trying to find the paper and read my chicken scratch.

@bentossell I’ve been talking internally about building this for years for newline. I have a ton of patched up code to calculate royalties from Stripe, Amazon, Gumroad, PayPal, etc. There is nothing good off-the-shelf yet. Are there enough creators reaching this scale to support this?

There should be a SaaS product that you plug in Stripe+Xero data, pick and choose your plan/tier which distributes profit sharing across your company for you. Anyone working on this? This could be a perfect no-code product build initially
