$SOFI The biggest problem that could come for Sofi isnt investors... its depositors. They have enough liquidity to weather some withdrawals, but not if there is a cascade. If depositors pull their money out of Sofi. They would be hit with a bank run. The Loans they have on the balance sheet would then have to be liquidated and Im not sure what they would be worth mark to market. Interesting development to say the least... At least Sofi has been smart enough to dilute shareholders at an attractive price and raise capital before something like this showed up. Though I doubt Sofi will be able to maintain a 45 PE ratio... when JP Morgan, a supestar, trades at 12-15 and the rest trade at 10. The biggest problem that I see in all of this is the accusation of manipulating charge offs via sale of loans and financing the buyers of those same loans... Havent read the Sofi reply yet but man this is getting interesting.

None of my friends/groupchats have had any March Madness banter yet. The tournament is starting to move towards that Kentucky Derby level where people are excited about the pageantry of the event but there aren’t any stars or storylines.

i genuinely have no desire to be rich so i can buy a rolex or a Lamborghini.
i want to be rich so i can control my time and go to the gym at 3pm on a monday.
sit at a cafe and relax for an hour on a rainy afternoon.
so i can cook meals at home with fresh ingredients.
spend on my family and friends without worrying about a budget.
that's my idea of a rich life, not the fake consumerist idea shoved down my throat.

There are many reasons you can put down to this, but I have a simple theory.
Robinhood gives serious fucks about being god damn beautiful.
Coinbase does not.
Robinhood is LV.

Yikes. Robinhood says their new Platinum Card has "$3,000+ in benefits."
I was so excited until i read the actual fine print. Here's what they're not telling you:
- The $250 DoorDash credit:
It's $10 off per order with a $50 minimum. You need to place 25 separate $50+ orders in a year to use it all. Miss a month, it's gone.
- The Function Health membership
You get a $365 credit. If you're in NY, the membership costs ~$615. You're covering the difference. And if you live in Hawaii or Rhode Island, you're excluded entirely.
- The Oura perk
Only applies if you buy a brand new Oura Ring within 6 months. Already own one? You get nothing. And the credit is $70, just the membership, not the ring.
- The dining credit
Capped at $20/month at restaurants Robinhood chooses. They can change the list whenever they want.
- The hotel credit
Only $100 of each $250 semi-annual credit can go toward standard hotels. The rest must be "Luxury" And Robinhood's portal is more expensive than direct.
- As a New Yorker the $250 autonomous rides credit is useless
For $695/year it's still deal for some, just make sure to read the fine print
