We built the interstate highway system & electrified the rural US without demand certainty. The fed gov accepted risk bc the value of national infra was obvious. Cost allocation fights only exist if we are trying to finance national infra thru the rate base. But why should we?

@xiaowang1984 @bslotterback In my region I doubt there is any resource that could make a profit if it were only receiving MISO LMPs. They all need ratebasing or a PPA to survive. 1/

@EleanorNorton, @RepThompson, and I are demanding that NPS immediately halt any plans to remove this bike lane, which is a vital commuter route for DC-area residents.
With the National Cherry Blossom Festival and America 250 celebrations approaching, NPS must immediately end any effort to intentionally cut off public access to DC and the National Mall.

The 15th Street Protected Bike Lane south of Constitution Ave is slated to be removed on Monday, per 2 sources
Reportedly DDOT did not raise strong objections to it and has further not objected to using the Hains Point bike lanes for car traffic during the cherry blossoms

Hmm, this could be a problem: My kids' @dcpublicschools is closing off part of its sidewalk because chunks of snowcrete are falling off of the roof. This could be a serious concern for homes and buildings with slanted roofs.

Why aren’t more running races making shirts and medals optional?
Cut a few bucks off the entry fee and let runners choose. Plenty of us race often and don’t need more stuff piling up. Feels like an easy win for the environment too.

DC also has no good Mexican food because apparently virtually no Mexicans live here. All the Mexican restaurants are run by pathetic whites doing chipotle imitations. It is astounding. Idaho has better Mexican food than DC.

An unpopular opinion, based on my time at CEA updating the social cost of carbon, is that Democrats should work with Trump to get rid of it, as called for in this EO, while demanding an alternative.

Second District police officers responded to Shoemaker/Tilden Street Northwest to assist United States Park Police at 1:23pm. A person was located, not conscious & not breathing, in Rock Creek Park and was declared deceased on scene. This is an ongoing investigation. #MPD

@jtemple Yes in theory the customers of the physical output should account for carbon net of the attributes own by MSFT. So add carbon back on. This is called ‘null power’ in electricity accounting and Green-E’s residual mix helps provide the data
