@ObinkaF31187 She must face the law. Nothing on earth justifies this wickedness
English

@danielholkss This is unforgivable and unjustifiable. She needs to do jail as a deterrent

Chief Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has spoken publicly for the first time following the death of her 21-month-old son, Kanu Nnamdi, earlier this year.
Chief Chimamanda and her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, lost one of their twin sons on 7 January 2026 at Euracare Hospital in Lagos.
The family alleges Kanu died during medical procedures and has raised concerns about possible medical negligence, including the use of sedation and oxygen management. The hospital denies any wrongdoing.
The case is now the subject of regulatory scrutiny and a coroner’s inquest. Reports indicate that some medical personnel have been placed under interim disciplinary measures while investigations continue.
In her statement, Chief Chimamanda described her family’s grief and accused the hospital of attempting to delay or obstruct the coroner’s inquest.
She also renewed her call for justice and accountability as the legal and medical processes continue.
The full circumstances surrounding Kanu’s death remain under investigation, with the findings of the inquest and regulatory reviews expected to determine what happened.

Katsina Govt Confirms Death of Retired Major General Rabe in Bandits’ Captivity
By: Zagazola Makama
The Katsina State Government has announced the death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar while in the captivity of bandits.
The government, in a statement issued on Friday by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr Nasiru Mu’azu, described the development as tragic and a major loss to the state and the nation.
According to the statement, the retired senior military officer died from complications arising from diabetes and hypertension while in captivity.
The government said that despite sustained efforts by the state government and security agencies to secure his release, the situation ended in tragedy.
“The deceased retired general died a natural death from complications of diabetes and hypertension,” the statement said.
It noted that the late officer’s abduction and subsequent death represented not only a loss to his immediate family and Katsina State but also a monumental loss to the country.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda expressed deep condolences to the family of the deceased, describing the incident as a dark moment and a reminder of the need for intensified efforts against criminal elements threatening peace and security.
The governor reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to working closely with the Federal Government and security agencies to ensure that those responsible for the abduction are brought to justice.
He also assured residents that the government remained resolute in its determination to eliminate banditry and safeguard lives and property across the state.
The government prayed for the repose of the soul of the late retired Major General and urged citizens to continue supporting security agencies in the fight against insecurity.

How is Uche Jombo playing mother in law to Mercy Aigbe?
MAKANAKI@black_bhoy_
What kind of Mother in-law is this? 😂
English

@TripzOfAbuja @lilyally98 This is not true. A lot do. Especially if they were all friends
English

@lilyally98 No man calls his friends wife by her name.
None.
It's always how your wife or how madam?
English

@Dc_Atuegwu But it doesn’t affect the application at all. The marriage cert suffices.
English

A woman in my church refused to change to her husband’s surname for 2 years after marriage
The man kept begging her to process a new international passport with his name, but she refused and insisted she wanted to continue using her father’s name.
Eventually, the man got tired and stopped talking about it.
Now fast forward to recently…
An international opportunity came up at the man’s workplace and he was allowed to travel with his wife
That was when Madam suddenly started begging to do the surname change and process a new passport quickly
The man's response now is:
“I don’t care again. I won’t include you in my application.”
Now the woman has been crying and telling Pastor to help her beg him"

@Humbhle_ak You need to accept the fact that they’re one of the most tribalistic and bigoted People.
This is fact because most Nigerians are and they make a significant amount of the population.

@NeverAgainNG @Dr_Afo First of all you know that people in this situation don’t like to talk about it but despite this so many have talked about this that it’s shocking to hear you say no victim has
English

@Dr_Afo No victim has complained of rape though. Or even stripped naked.
English

This is what they do.
They share the ladies among themselves, in a sort of temporary rapefest. Sometimes 2-3 men to a lady or two ladies to one of their senior officers.
They usually come pick the assigned girls once or twice a day.
They usually stop crying after the first two days, but you see it in their eyes.
They become dead inside.
I don't know how they cope with the trauma.
