As a descendant of William the conqueror, I support this. Our ancestors would be so ashamed of what has become of what was once the Greatest Empire on Earth. The Monarchy has betrayed & sold out the British people & the Commonwealth.

It is time we recognised that the ideas spawned by the Age of Enlightenment, far from being liberating, have proven both perilous and profoundly mistaken. Rather than illuminating the human mind, they have steadily darkened it. We should therefore cease to call it the Age of Enlightenment and name it, more truthfully, the Age of Obscurity.

@johannesmkx Western civilisation is in decline and it aligns nicely with universal suffrage.

When men were in charge, children were better cared for. With women in charge, we get castrations, gang rape, and teen euthanasia. There goes the myth of the "nurturing woman".

We welcome all who share Australian values but the door must be shut to individuals who reject our beliefs and our way of life. Great to join @sunriseon7 this morning to discuss this important issue.

You'll probably know Mitch Brown from his time playing footy for the West Coast Eagles. Last year, he made history as the first ever AFL player to come out as bisexual. Mitch's courage and strength sparked conversations. But most importantly, it started a shift. And that matters. He's proof that when you stand up for your values, you inspire others to do the same - and take pride in who they are. Because equality isn't negotiable. Respect isn't up for debate. People can love who they love. And role models like Mitch are exactly who we need for generations to come. Happy Pride.

Canon 1210 restricts sacred places like churches to uses that serve worship, piety, or religion, and a secular national song/anthem risks conflicting with the church’s holy character. St Aquinas places patriotism (as piety) subordinate to religion (divine worship), so while patriotic acts are virtuous in their proper civic context, introducing them into God’s house, even pre- or post-Mass, can still blur the sacred focus the Church guards. The preference remains to keep the church oriented solely toward God, reserving secular patriotic expressions for appropriate non-sacred settings.

@infamousliam__ @Alexarmstrong You asked if patriotism is a virtue. I have provided evidence it is. And unless you are suggesting virtue or the practice thereof doesn’t belong in church…? Furthermore I am in full agreement with the Canon law, Aquinas calls patriotism piety so it doesn’t violate it.

@_Gallowglass_ @Alexarmstrong Those texts contain no indication that it would be permissible within a church. Furthermore, Canon Law 1210 provides that sacred places, including churches, are reserved for activities related to religion, piety, and the worship of God.

@infamousliam__ @Alexarmstrong Also from the CCC "It is the duty of citizens to contribute along with the civil authorities to the good of society in a spirit of truth, justice, solidarity, and freedom. The love and service of one's country follow from the duty of gratitude and the right order of charity"

@infamousliam__ @Alexarmstrong Not even true though, this is the same logic which prots use to call us idolaters. Churches are places to worship God 100% but they also are places to extol and practice virtue, patriotism is a virtue. If the flags were the only service then yes it’s bad but i doubt they were.

@AlboMP Australia has a birthrate below replacement levels and it’s getting worse. But let’s push for more women to enter the workforce and turn them into CEO boss babes, that’ll solve the problem 🤡

When women get ahead, Australia moves forward. And across healthcare, parental leave, wages and super, we’re making progress for women. I’m proud to lead our nations first government with a majority of women. Because our government and our country is better when it reflects modern Australia. Ahead of International Women’s Day, we came together to reflect on the progress we’ve made and the work to do.

@offender_repeat @ianedwards99 @Alexarmstrong There have been child sex abuses in the Church of England as well. Predators go where there is a concentration of children. This is a bad faith argument.
