@gregisenberg We're at the stage where AI is closing deals and the buyer feels like they won. Some salesmen couldn't even do that.

i went to a mercedes dealership i found a car i liked, met a nice salesman decided i wanted to buy the car was negotiating via email decided to buy the car thought i was genius because i got 5% off car salesman tells me in person i was negotiating with AI i had no idea

Your parents' advice is likely aligned with a world that died 15-20 years ago. Following it guarantees you'll optimize for problems that no longer exist. Ignore them with love.

The dangerous thing about vibe coding is you stop learning. You don't know why it works. You just know it works. Until it doesn't. And then you're Googling concepts you should've learned three years ago.

You can’t teach a person a work ethic. Either the have it or they don’t. Usually if they don’t, it takes a major financial rise and fall to really ingrain a different ethic.
