@GeorgeC1810 @LabourSJ @Ed_Miliband @RippleEnergy The real solution (albeit not instant) is to expand renewables so that there is no demand for gas produced electricity generation. Then renewables have to compete for PPAs competitively and not based on the last resort pricing of gas.

I’ve written to @LabourSJ & @Ed_Miliband asking for their help.
Renewables Cooperatives like @RippleEnergy should be protected from the Energy Bill cap. They are a tool to reduce members home energy costs sustainably, not to extract excess profits for investors.

@patrickwintour Once more....less than half the eligible voters voted for the conservatives and less than half if their eligible members voted for Truss. Time to make voting mandatory.

Liz Truss has clear majority - narrower than predicted - but she did not secure a majority of Tory Party members eligible to vote. A total of 172,437 eligible to vote and she secured 81,326 votes or 57.4 % of those voting. Not sure her brief speech matched her fragile mandate.

@NicolaSturgeon It would be fine if the same legislation made voting mandatory as it should be. A few minutes to do your democratic duty is not too much to ask of anyone.

This might sound a stupid if not naive question but what would it take for us to reverse Brexit and re join the EU. Serious debate please.

The biggest liars in 2016 was Boris and Gove with the red bus. They should both go to Jail. As a chairman of a public company if I mislead or lied to my shareholders ( in this case the public ) I would be sent to jail.

Energy bills are up 3% in France, 30% in Germany and 300% in the UK - other government’s have a grip of this. And the EU has a plan to reduce energy use by 15% - while we have minsters saying it’s an individual choice….doing less than nothing.

I bought 1kWh (yes ONE) and was charged £901.81 (inc. VAT). I knew that inflation was bad, but is this a record energy price? Maybe I am paying the windfall tax?
