Last night in Munich, we hosted our first Physical AI Meet-Up, bringing founders, operators, and researchers into one room. Four talks and a lot of awesome real work to show. 🤖
Huge thanks to @SereactAI , @rerundotio , SE3 Labs and @SensmoreAI , for sharing work that's usually behind closed doors, and to everyone who came, stayed past the scheduled end, and made the room what it was.
Find a few themes from the evening in the thread.
This is the first of what we hope becomes a series. If you're building in Physical AI in Europe, we'd love to hear from you.

@im_the_giulio @hthieblot @julianweisser @fdotinc @thecaptabletv @adilmania Great, how much is the margins? I mean do $80k go to Claude or GPT?
English

I hit 100K ARR today on my startup in ~1 month as a 17 yr old solo founder!
We launched on March 12th!😁
@hthieblot @julianweisser @brycant @fdotinc @thecaptabletv @adilmania

@TolyPash @Dave_ThePCGuy Has nearly the same population size as Manhattan. But just 1/10 of the GDP of Manhattan.
So probably you can have there
English

@paulg That is great. I love AI coding, my team too. My question is about the metric. It never made sense to evaluate an engineer by how much code the person writes. I'm looking for a better indicator. For sure it's harder to say how much of the hard problems it's solving.
English

Each Y Combinator batch I ask the startups what percent of their code is written by AI. It passed 75% at least a year ago, maybe two.
Deedy@deedydas
In ~2yrs, Google has gone from 0% code written by AI to 75% code written by AI. What an incredible transformation of how software is created.
English

@jesselyu @DanielEdrisian @rabbit_hmi You never responded to me if I should keep the rabbit in the original package or unbox it. Not sure which has more value. Is one of the first batch. #SchrodingersRabbit
English

@mosworld @DanielEdrisian @rabbit_hmi you mean next to a dead device and a device that shipped over 40 OTA updates?
English

I've left OpenAI and the Codex team to build Blackstar: A new hardware company building the future of human-computer interaction.
We believe that software is solved. Building apps is now easy, but the next meaningful improvement in human-AI communication requires changing the OS & hardware. That's why we're building a new device entirely.
I'm also excited to announce our $12m seed round led by @AbstractVC, with participation from @naval, @SVAngel, @chapterone, and Timeless, among other amazing angels who've supported us from the old Alex days.

@thenomadevel @FlyaKiet @cursor_ai Maybe people don't trust their code to be with x.ai X products are great for fun.
English

@FlyaKiet @cursor_ai Why everyone is looking for cursor’s alternative!
English

@markessien @maier_ak I think the landtag has first name the committee after n expert groups make suggestions of possible candidates
English

@maier_ak Has the feasibility committee to select the backend language been setup yet?
English

@maier_ak I see some very ambitious young founders who want to change the world 🌍...oh wait they look more like German local politicians and your neighborhood IT consultants. In case it goes well I'm happy to use it
English

@Austen Sounds like an acquisition with a $10B break-up fee. If it walks like a duck 🦆... Probably it is too much before the IPO.
English

@shcallaway Beautiful. Love the view.
What ever gets the team happy and the job done!
English

@lgraef Kaum zu glauben! Sehr cool, dass der Claw in NRW angekommen ist. :D
Deutsch

@Kevin_Indig Papa needs some cash to pay for the data centers. Also @AnthropicAI needs to look at IPO. They can't look worse than @OpenAI at IPO
English

Berlin is cool!
SF is cool!
You know what's even cooler?
Bringing SF to Berlin!
M&M@marieandmaxx
Two cracked siblings are bringing SF to Berlin! Event incoming this May... Hit us up if you want to pay the bills (sponsor)
English

@marieandmaxx Ambitious and driven that is very true.
Many founders and early employees want to win. They want to be a ⭐. It is much more like pro sports than German businesses building.
English

@PawelHuryn Do you think @AnthropicAI now says DONE. We will not make a better product. Finish we will fire the team. So we don't know what to build next. Are you really thinking they do not have a plan to get more and more market share?
English

Two reads on Cowork live artifacts. Both miss what BI actually sells.
"Kills Tableau." Nope. Tableau's moat was never the chart. It was 10,000 employees agreeing on the number. Governance, lineage, certified metrics. Cowork doesn't touch that layer.
"Cooks analysts." Nope. An analyst's moat was never drawing charts either. It's picking the right question from messy data. Cowork doesn't do that part.
What Cowork actually compresses:
→ the monthly revenue dashboard you rebuild by hand
→ the ops tracker stuck in a shared spreadsheet
→ the one-off internal tool no one owns
Dashboards were never the bottleneck. $30K/year for Looker was paying everyone to agree on the number. Not to draw the chart.
Claude@claudeai
In Cowork, Claude can now build live artifacts: dashboards and trackers connected to your apps and files. Open one any time and it refreshes with current data.
