@Rauf_Onchain @Coop_Daniels Do you even know what algokit is? 😏 What in 4.0 have you been waiting for 'rauf.algo' (that doesn't even exist as an NFD)?

Algorand protocol development and ecosystem growth are now under one roof. Algorand Foundation and Algorand Technologies ( @Algorand ) have come to a strategic agreement to unify ecosystem operations. This agreement creates a unified powerhouse for blockchain innovation here in the United States and positions Algorand as the chain that enables financial empowerment at scale.

BOOM! As many of you know, we have been preparing to take on the responsibility for Algorand protocol maintenance and development for some time now. Our founder, Silvio Micali, built the best blockchain in crypto, bar none, with an elegant consensus mechanism still far ahead of even the most recent generation blockchains. And I, and everyone at the Algorand Foundation, understand that the sustainability of this protocol is our most sacred responsibility. With this unified strategy, in the United States, and as an entity that can pursue for-profit activities when they are in the best interests of the ecosystem, we will be truly unstoppable. In addition to our founder, I also want to acknowledge all Algorand Technologies engineers, past and present, for the incredible piece of technology that they have conceived, developed, and kept running.... Without one. second. of. downtime. 🫡🫡👊👊

Ah, interesting. TACC definitely wouldn't have a clue about turns and that video doesn't have any of the recent tell-tale FSD overlays. Only thing that gives me pause is Elon (or was that fake cap?) saying disengagement 4 seconds prior... yet if it wasn't FSD he would've been pretty darn explicit about it.

@patrickbennett @JCChristopher The question becomes more complicated because it was a Cybertruck. No autopilot. CT never has shipped with autopilot. Cybertruck only had TACC. So the driver either had that running or FSD.

I went to the exact same location of the Cybertruck accident shown in the Fox News video. This is the US-69/59 Eastex Freeway northbound HOV lane at the Y-split near the Eastex Park & Ride exit (approaching from downtown Houston toward Humble). In the Fox News video, the vehicle failed to follow the right curve, going straight into the barrier. Well, I tested it twice today with Tesla FSD engaged the entire time with zero human intervention. And unless you think I am a hologram speaking to you from another dimension now, it worked out really well. Here is the video of me taking the exact same curve twice, with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5.

@amMeButYouRu @JCChristopher Honestly, the news video looked more like it was old school autopilot, not even FSD. Was going way too fast into turn (watch the obvious FSD video and it was VERY different) for HW3 or HW4 FSD (unless driver was overriding accel) - and then .. driver disabled.

Hard to argue with that test. After using FSD and then watching that news video it seemed clear to me that the driver panicked when the Cybertruck got to that turn and yanked the wheel to take over - and then couldn't control it. Ultimately analysis of that video will reveal what actually happened because the data doesn't lie. I know my bets are on FSD not being the cause of the crash.

& just like that… a proposal that was already cooked
is officially rekt. NFD just gave .algo domains native DNS + email compatibility 🔥
the way it actually should be done — aligned, integrated & already live. No need for a parallel system that would never gain traction. Thank you @TxnLab 🙏

🧵 Big step forward in yesterday’s SEC token taxonomy guidance. Clear statement: ALGO is not a security. And it doesn’t matter where it appears. The substance is what counts. And to all those freaking out that AlGO was “only” mentioned in a footnote, a careful read of the guidance clearly shows that the footnote isn’t burying ALGO - it’s broadening the rule: The SEC used futures-linked tokens as examples in the body of the text, but made clear that’s not the test. That’s exactly where ALGO comes in 👇 ALGO is cited to show a token can be a digital commodity without underlying a futures contract. In other words: •Commodity status ≠ dependent on futures markets •ALGO qualifies on its own merits That’s a substance-based classification. And importantly, it’s stronger. And that’s exactly why the placement doesn’t diminish the impact. It actually clarifies and strengthens the reasoning behind the classification. @AlgoFoundation #algo #algofam

@krby_algo @mrveng3ance Yeah, it's all mostly an eyeroll these days but I agree it's hard not to get a bit shitty about so many chains just kinda sucking and the users being oblivious about it. In the weeds Algorand still pisses me off about some things but it's still *really* good about a lot.

Here is what a 60x faster ethereum confirmation means for users: If you are an everyday user, the difference is visceral. > You bridge funds from L1 to your favorite L2 and they land before you switch apps. > You deposit to an exchange and it’s confirmed before your brain registers that you hit send. The anxiety loop of watching pending transactions and refreshing block explorers just disappears. If you run an exchange, deposits from Ethereum drop to roughly thirteen seconds. > Your customers stop wondering why ETH takes longer than everything else to show up. > Your offramp becomes one of the fastest in the industry. > Customer support tickets about pending deposits start trending toward zero. If you are building an L2, your L1 to L2 deposit time collapses. > Less capital sits locked in transit. > Your sequencer knows the latest blob price with near real time accuracy which means a more efficient fee market across your entire chain. > Your operational costs go down and your user experience goes up simultaneously. If you are a bridge operator or solver, you stop relying on heuristics and probabilistic guesswork for risk management. > FCR provides provable security guarantees under its assumptions. > Assets move faster, which means less capital at risk at any given moment. > Your margins improve because your exposure windows shrink dramatically. If you are an asset issuer, you no longer have to choose between speed and Ethereum’s property rights. > Today, slow bridging times push issuers toward more trusted bridge models that sacrifice the security guarantees that make Ethereum valuable in the first place but FCR closes that gap. > You get the strongest property rights in crypto and the speed your users expect. Not one or the other. If you are an RPC provider, better connected nodes may offer faster confirmation times, which creates a new value proposition for your customers. > Performance becomes a differentiator in ways it wasn’t before. If you are an institution evaluating Ethereum, thirteen second confirmations with deterministic security guarantees changes the calculus entirely. > FCR counts attestations, not blocks. When conditions are normal, which they have been for Ethereum’s entire history, confirmations are provably secure. Risk management just got better. There is a lot of noise out there about what Ethereum is doing, what the Foundation is focused on, whether the ecosystem is moving fast enough. Here is your answer. The people building this network are solving real problems that real users feel every single day. Oh, and they are just getting started. Shipping in a few months, no hard fork required. Ethereum.

NFDs just became the most feature-rich DID method in existence. Introducing did:nfd — W3C DID Core v1.0 compliant, human-readable, on-chain, and packed with capabilities no other DID method comes close to matching. If you own an NFD, you already have a DID. Zero setup. 🧵👇

quick recap for anyone just arriving: an ethereum dev replied to vitalik about quantum resistance. referenced the one chain that already has it. couldn't type the name. wrote "algor*nd" with an asterisk the algorand foundation fired back with "Ethreum" he responded "i've made a huge mistake" foundation escalated to "Ethreum***" - three asterisks we minted the asterisk. built a website. built two arcade games. grew a community and now $ALG* just bonded on haystack the meme has graduated. the market is open hay.app/asset/34636808… algrnd.xyz 🔴

Honest question - is this actually the first ever agentic blockchain explorer? On any chain? I didn't think so, but I searched and only found a waitlist and a few dead projects. 🤔 Genuinely curious if something like this exists in other ecosystems.
