Cortisone injections remain commonly offered. The evidence against them — particularly for long-term outcomes — is consistent, compelling, and poor. A well-designed RCT in JAMA found that while cortisone provided better pain relief at 6 weeks, by 12 months the injection group had significantly worse outcomes than both physiotherapy and watchful waiting... with much higher recurrence rates. Short-term relief followed by long-term recurrence is not a trade worth making for a condition that resolves on its own. It's just not.

Why Does My Elbow Hurt So Much? Tennis elbow affects 1–3% of the population at any given time. Over a lifetime, virtually everyone will experience it. The vast majority of people who develop it have never played tennis. They are carpenters, surgeons, office workers, gardeners, and parents lifting children. Calling it tennis elbow is like calling low back pain "golfer's spine."

Pain on the outside of your hip is one of the most common problems I see in my practice. Walkers get it. Runners get it. People who've never been to a gym get it. For decades, we called it bursitis and injected it. We were treating the wrong thing.

Edmonton did something tonight that they haven’t done in over a month They played for Tristan Jarry That was a complete effort 60 minutes from the get go. Utah had nothing all game and both goals were flukey. If the Oilers can play like this every night, they will win the cup

@qauckenbush17 Glad he got a win but Jarry was not that great. He didn’t see many shots. The two that went him were not “no chance” write offs. I feel like he doesn’t have a great vision for an NHL goalie.

Don’t really know what to think of Jarry tonight. Confusing one… Weird goal on number 1 Can live with goal 2 , but at the end of the day, he’s technically let 4 past him in 12 shots. Just get this W And keep trying to build up his game , this won’t be one to write home about.

This ABC News story about Iran activating sleeper cells sure sounds like what I reported about a Persian-language numbers station today. But if so, there's something off. 🧵

The Farsi-language Numbers-Station broadcast again, today at 18:00 UTC. The signal was very weak here in 🇮🇹Milan and Central Europe. Pretty good in 🇬🇷Greece via SV2CSN webSDR. Ionospheric propagation of radio signals is a natural phenomenon. We will have better reception.

I have not seen the CBC bring on one Iranian person who is against the illegal intervention in Iran. Surely they can find the many people in the Iranian diaspora in Canada who oppose this war - not doing so is a choice.
Nazanin Afshin-Jam MacKay@NazaninAJ

My husband @PeterMacKay and I joined @ianhanomansing on CBC to discuss the Prime Minister of Canada’s statement on Iran and the readiness of the Iranian people to take back their country from the tyrannical rulers that have occupied their country for almost 5 decades. As frightening as war is, and as devastating as the loss of life can be, many Iranians have called for this intervention and are prepared to endure great sacrifice in their pursuit of freedom. Dear Prime Minister @MarkJCarney and Foreign Affairs Minister @AnitaAnandMP, Now is not the time to waver. I was proud to read your statement supporting the U.S. and Israeli mission to confront the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism ,a regime with well-documented nuclear ambitions and a human rights record that the UN has described as crimes against humanity. For years, the cries of the Iranian people have gone unanswered. Thousands upon thousands have been imprisoned, raped, tortured, and killed by their own government, over 30,000 massacred in just 2 days, while the international community failed to invoke the Responsibility to Protect. In the absence of meaningful action from a broken UN Security Council , where veto powers shield authoritarian regimes , where were innocent Iranians meant to turn? Some argue that unilateral action is unlawful. But what is the alternative when diplomacy has repeatedly failed and negotiations have only empowered a violent regime? Weeks ago, I presented non-military policy solutions before Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights (recommendations I first raised 18 years ago in the same room). Had there been the political will to act with moral clarity then, we might not be facing this crisis today. If your government is reconsidering its position, Canadians deserve to know: what is the strategy now? Iranian-Canadians and Jewish Canadians are once again facing threats and acts of violence , from shootings at synagogues to attacks targeting Iranian opposition figures. Many in our communities, myself included, have received threats. What concrete steps will your government take to protect Canadians from regime-linked translational repression, intimidation and potential sleeper cells operating here? Leadership requires clarity and courage. This is such a moment. Signed, Nazanin Afshin-Jam Human rights and Democracy Advocate

This Carney statement is puzzling. If, as he says, we must accept "the world as it is" – including the purported failure of previous diplomatic efforts and of the international order – then why call for a diplomatic solution, de-escalation, and respect for international law?

@godofprompt Claude fights this with "I can't position myself as an "anti-AI-detection" specialist or frame what I do as helping content "pass as 100% human-written.""

Never use ChatGPT for writing. Its text is easily detectable. Instead use Claude Sonnet 4.5 using this mega prompt to turn AI generated writing into undetectable human written content in seconds: | Steal this prompt | 👇 You are an anti-AI-detection writing specialist. Your job: Rewrite AI text to sound completely human no patterns, no tells, no robotic flow. AI DETECTION TRIGGERS (What to Kill): - Perfect grammar (humans make small mistakes) - Repetitive sentence structure (AI loves patterns) - Corporate buzzwords ("leverage," "delve," "landscape") - Overuse of transitions ("moreover," "furthermore," "however") - Even pacing (humans speed up and slow down) - No contractions (we use them constantly) - Safe, sanitized language (humans have opinions) HUMANIZATION RULES: 1. VARY RHYTHM - Mix short punchy sentences with longer flowing ones - Some incomplete thoughts. Because that's real. - Occasional run-on that feels natural in conversation 2. ADD IMPERFECTION - Start sentences with "And" or "But" - Use casual connectors: "Look," "Here's the thing," "Honestly" - Include subtle typos occasionally (not every time) - Drop a comma here and there 3. INJECT PERSONALITY - Use specific examples, not generic ones - Add personal observations: "I've noticed," "In my experience" - Include mild opinions: "which is insane," "surprisingly effective" - Throw in rhetorical questions 4. KILL AI PHRASES Replace these instantly: - "Delve" → "dig into" or "explore" - "Landscape" → "space" or "world" - "Leverage" → "use" - "Robust" → "strong" or specific descriptor - "Streamline" → "simplify" - "Moreover" → "Plus," "Also," or nothing - "Ensure" → "make sure" 5. NATURAL FLOW - Humans digress slightly (add brief tangents) - We emphasize with italics or bold - We use dashes—like this—for emphasis - Parentheticals (because we think while writing) THE PROCESS: When I paste AI-generated text, you: STEP 1: Rewrite with these changes - Vary sentence length wildly - Replace 80% of transitions with casual ones - Add 2-3 personal touches ("I think," "honestly," "look") - Include 1-2 incomplete sentences or fragments - Swap formal words for conversational ones - Add emphasis (italics, bold, dashes) STEP 2: Read-aloud test - Would someone actually say this? - Does it flow like conversation? - Any word feel too "AI"? STEP 3: Final pass - Remove remaining stiffness - Ensure contractions (don't, won't, I'm, they're) - Check for repetitive structure - Add one unexpected comparison or example OUTPUT STYLE: Before: [Their AI text] After: [Your humanized version] Changes made: - [List 3-5 key transformations] Detection risk: [Low/Medium/High + why] EXAMPLE: User pastes: "In order to achieve optimal results in content marketing, it is essential to leverage data-driven insights and ensure consistent engagement with your target audience across multiple platforms." You respond: "Want better content marketing results? Use data to guide your decisions and actually engage with your audience. Consistently. Across whatever platforms they're on. Not rocket science, but most people skip the data part." Changes made: - Killed "in order to," "optimal," "leverage," "ensure" - Added rhetorical question opening - Split into two short paragraphs for breathing room - Added casual observation at end - Used contractions Detection risk: Low—reads like someone explaining over coffee. --- USAGE: Paste your AI-generated text and say: "Humanize this" I'll rewrite it to pass as 100% human-written. --- NOW: Paste the AI text you want to humanize.
