@KingSavageAxe Dead Space 1 and 2 are some of my favorite survival horror games oat and I think Dead Space 3 had a lot of cool concepts but they kind of got pushed to the side for microtransactions and further pushing uncharted style spectacle
English

My favourite part of Dead Space 3 co op was Carver having those unique hallucinations that Isaac players don't see so Rat absolutely freaked out in an elevator whilst I'm there just in a normal elevator
EggBlunt@SigmaGooner
Playing Dead Space 3 coop and 90% of the game is just this

That everything even slightly uncomforable needs to have an option to remove it is the defining anti-art trait of the AAA industry
Friction builds identity, allows players to connect, allows the devs to speak.

@RobinPoedev Yeah that's why it's bad dumbass

hello I am a terminally online twitter user and Ive never had a real problem in my entire life

If you emulate games with those retro achievements turned on i think less of you as a person
English

@marichan1758 @_deceptionfalls @NINtendo_maya Counterargument: if you care this much about how you 'look' on your own time while you're alone playing a 30 year old singleplayer game you are 80x more reddit

america u must convince ur gen z that organizing and infiltrating bourgeois institutions is a roguelike

I hope this trend keeps going 😭😭😭

@empyrealviolet My usual strategy is during any of his melee attack recovery windows I back up - heal - move in - dodge fireball - punish
English

The trick is that you run away to bait out a fireball throw, dodge it, then immediately heal while they're getting ready to throw a second one. It's actually really fun design that I think got overlooked simply because that initial moment of input reading doesn't feel great.

@jonusrnm23732 @empyrealviolet Even as a 'lazy' design choice it really puts into perspective how strong your character gets that they can wipe out groups of enemies that WERE roadblocks at the beginning of the game
English

@empyrealviolet Ntm bosses have been getting reused as regular enemies since at least dark souls 1
Every demon type just shows up as regular schmuck enemies (besides the asylum demon and there are three of those)
English

Boss reuse is fine to me because bosses are just big enemies and every game reuses enemies. This doesn't mean every individual instance of reuse is undeserving of criticism but some people treat the imaginary prestige of a boss health bar as a bigger deal than it actually is.
will del@will_del76
English

@empyrealviolet People conveniently forget that every boss in the undead burg gets turned into regular enemies halfway through the game. And it's actually pretty cool because their health doesnt change when you meet them later but you're so strong that they don't have a 'boss healthbar' anymore
English

@empyrealviolet I was playing for a week straight and fought every iteration of them in the span of 2 days so when I get to them now it's "not these bozos again"
English

@fromsoftserve Games like Siege and The Finals prove that a dynamic playing field + physics/destruction can still be highly competitive. Counter strike players are STILL butthurt from people pushing a barrel over the c4 over 20 years ago and say there can be no physics props.
English
Parasite Messiah がリツイート

yes! more of this please! hopefully we can get back to the PS3/360 era where devs weren't so strangled by the jaguar cores in the xbone and ps4 that we can start experimenting with physics more and more
Luis G. Bento //@EpicMcDude
Testing out some dynamic physics-based cover by kicking stuff over, inspired by FEAR 2
English

@mouseMSPDraws @nise_yoshimi Actually take a moment to think about the fact that if all the players who dont like the game stopped playing arrowhead would go "holy shit somethings wrong" they dont listen to people complaining on Twitter dude
English

@nise_yoshimi "Then stop playing"
If everyone took your advice, the game would get shuttered. Live service games need a player base, an active one or at the very least one with open wallets. If everyone stopped playing, there'd be no reason for it to continue having support or servers.
English

@Nakatsu1178 @RobinPoedev Not every player needs to play the game either
English

@RobinPoedev Not every player thinks that being in the dark is interesting though, its better for it to just be an option
English

We need to have a conversation about why including these options at all, in a game about efficiently/grinding, isnt actually 'just an option' its just an optional handicap. And it changes the way everyone plays

On peut choisir de voir la barre de vie des monstres dans Monster Hunter Outlanders. Si vous aviez le choix de pouvoir le faire sur un MH classique, le feriez-vous ?
English

@render_sir @Tealst_ Genuinely wondering how does adding health bars and gacha make the game less stiff?
English

@Tealst_ Depends on how the Mobile game plays
Monster Hunter has always felt stiff
So I could totally see people feeling that way
Personally I'm just a bit excited to actually see
new weapons being added in some way at all
English

And soon people will be arguing that monster hunter without gacha and health bars was always bad actually
Monster Hunter Jhokes@QuirklessStoner
Gacha gods are in my favor
English

@TheDEV1ATE @Tealst_ Everyone who has been defending cosmetic dlcs are more directly at fault for the gacha aspects imo
