There’s something in the cybersecurity training and cyber range space that needs to change. We’ve gotten really good at building environments that look impressive—but are too complex for clients to actually use once we walk away. And we’ve gotten even better at selling expensive solutions… without fully accounting for what it takes to sustain them. This hits hardest in places that actually need this capability the most: - small and mid-sized government organizations - universities operating on grants - teams already stretched thin supporting day-to-day operations They invest heavily upfront in a cyber range, expecting it to build long-term capability. But what often gets missed is this: Who is maintaining it? Who is building new scenarios? Who is keeping it aligned with current threats? In large federal environments, there are often dedicated teams to absorb that workload. In smaller environments, there aren’t. So the range sits underutilized—not because it lacks value, but because sustainment was never realistically built into the model. Cyber ranges shouldn’t be one-time purchases or oversized technical demos. They should be living systems—something teams can actually use, adapt, and grow with over time. If it doesn’t: - translate into real-world decision-making - evolve with current threats - and remain usable by the people it’s meant to support …then it’s not building capability. It’s just checking a box. The future of this space isn’t bigger environments—it’s better outcomes. More sustainment. More realism. More alignment with how organizations actually operate. We should be building something that’s still delivering value 6 months later—not something that fades the moment we step back. Curious how others are seeing this—especially those working in ICS/OT, government, and academic environments.

🚨 HOLY SMOKES. Sec. Scott Bessent has just gone to the BUYERS of Iranian oil and said he WILL do secondary sanctions on their industries and banks The Gulf nations that Iran attacked are also now OPENING UP Iranian regime bank accounts! Operation Economic Fury in FULL SWING. I'd hate to be Bessent's enemy! 🔥 "We are sprinting for the finish line. President Trump told me three weeks ago to up the pressure again and we have gone to the buyers of Iranian oil and told them that we are willing to do secondary sanctions on your industries, on your banks, who tolerate Iranian oil in their system!" "One of the big mistakes out of many that the Iranian leadership made was bombing their GCC counterparts because for years we had heard that there was no IRGC money in their bank accounts." "Now they've become more transparent and we are freezing those bank accounts for the Iranian people. And we can see that every day it is more pressure on the regime, the retirement funds that they thought that they had outside of Iran." "We are freezing. We're holding those for the Iranian people. Same with all their villas in the south of France and all over the world." "And we are going to track them down and we are going to continue the economic pressure as well as the block on the Strait of Hormuz!" @RapidResponse47 TRUMP DOCTRINE.

HOLLYWOOD CELEBRITIES FLEW FIRST CLASS TO WAR ZONES FOR PHOTO OPS. TOBY KEITH FLEW IN BLACKHAWKS TO PLACES NO CAMERA WOULD EVER SEE… After 9/11, hundreds of celebrities posted flags on Instagram. Wore ribbons on red carpets. Said "thank you for your service" on talk shows. Then went home. Toby Keith got on a helicopter and flew into Afghanistan. Not once. Not twice. Eighteen times. For over a decade — two unpaid weeks every single year — he flew into active war zones. Iraq. Afghanistan. Kuwait. Remote outposts six miles from the Pakistani border where soldiers hadn't seen a civilian face in six months. Critics back home still called him a warmonger. Award shows still passed him over. But here's what the critics never saw… Toby didn't play the big bases. He insisted on going where nobody else would — tiny forward operating bases named after fallen soldiers. He rode in Blackhawks escorted by Apache gunships. He came under fire. His family back home "freaked out" every time he left. He didn't care. He created the USO2GO program — sending electronics and comfort items to soldiers at outposts too remote for any entertainer to ever visit. Over 250,000 troops. Seventeen countries. He closed every single show with "American Soldier" — and every single time, the crowd went silent, because every man and woman standing there knew: this wasn't a performance. This was a promise. He once said: "I saw a void the great Bob Hope left behind, and no one was filling it." So he filled it. For eighteen years. While quietly fighting stomach cancer, he kept going — not for fame, not for cameras — but because he made a promise to kids in uniform who just wanted to hear a guitar and feel like home was still there. They gave him awards he never asked for. But the soldiers who stood in the dust and heard him play — they gave him something no trophy ever could. What happened at those remote bases is a story most Americans have never heard.

Extremely gratified to see this decision we’ve been waiting for! I was proud to co-author the brief for the United States as amicus in this important case, perhaps one of the most important developments in decades in Voting Rights Act jurisprudence!

🚨 In a 6-3 vote, the Supreme Court strikes down Louisiana's new congressional map that added a second majority-black district, holding that it constitutes a racial gerrymander. The Court narrows its previous interpretation of the Voting Rights Act.

Thanks Grok: Bob Hope undertook 57 USO tours dedicated to troop morale, welfare, and recreation events between 1941 and 1991 (nearly 50 years).2341 These were not single-day appearances but major, often overseas trips to war zones and bases during WWII, the Berlin Airlift/Korean War era, Vietnam, Lebanon, Iran-Iraq War, and the Persian Gulf (including his final one in 1990 for Operation Desert Shield). He spent 48 Christmases overseas with troops as part of this tradition.49 Transportation for These Events For these tours, Bob Hope (and his troupe) routinely flew on military aircraft and rode in military vehicles—cargo planes (such as C-135s, C-141s, and Lockheed Lodestars), helicopters where needed, jeeps, PT boats, trucks, and even armored vehicles for shows.1114 •No public record gives an exact total of individual flights or vehicle rides—that level of granular logistics (hundreds of segments across decades) wasn’t tallied that way. •The 57 tours themselves are the standard, widely cited metric for how many times he made these dedicated support trips, with each tour requiring repeated military transport hops between bases, carriers, and remote sites.029 •Scale examples: ◦WWII alone: His troupe traveled over 80,000 miles (mostly via military aircraft/vehicles), with one 1944 South Pacific tour covering ~30,000 miles and 150+ shows in two months.46 ◦Vietnam era: Nine consecutive Christmas tours (1964–1972), plus others, involving long-haul military flights to Southeast Asia and Pacific bases.40 ◦Later tours (e.g., 1987): One Christmas swing covered 27,000 miles in 67 flying hours on military jets for multiple shows.44 In short, while we don’t have a precise “X flights + Y vehicle rides” lifetime total (it would be in the hundreds or low thousands of individual legs across 57 tours), the documented figure everyone uses for his morale-support travel is those 57 USO tours—each one built around military transport to reach and entertain troops. This was his signature commitment, earning him the title of the only “honorary veteran” of the U.S. armed forces from Congress.28 It’s on a completely different scale from any single morale event, which is why his USO work is still the gold standard for celebrity troop support.

Today’s raids by state and federal law enforcement happened because our state agencies caught irregular behavior and reported it. That’s how the system is supposed to work, and our agencies will keep at it as long as there are fraudsters around to put behind bars.

NEWS: new info on the WHCD shooting suspect, Cole Allen, from the White House. I'll be talking with President Trump about all of this in 30 minutes on @SundayBriefFNC The suspect’s written manifesto clearly stated he wanted to target administration officials. He also had a ton of anti-Trump and anti-Christian rhetoric on his social media accounts. ALLEN's brother had notified New London PD (CT) of ALLEN's alleged manifesto he had sent to his family members prior to the incident.   Secret Service and Montgomery County Police interviewed Avriana Allen, ALLEN’s sister, at their residence in Rockville, MD. The following highlights from the interview: •Allen said her brother had a tendency to make radical statements and his rhetoric constantly referenced a plan to do “something” to fix the issues with today’s world. •Confirmed ALLEN purchased two handguns and a shotgun from Cap Tactical Firearms and kept them stored at their parent’s home and that their parents were unaware that ALLEN was keeping the firearms in the home. •ALLEN would regularly go to the shooting range to train with his firearms •ALLEN was part of a group called ‘The Wide Awakes’ •ALLEN attended a ‘No Kings’ protest in California at some point

So let's unpack a few things right up front... 1) He left California and was in DC at the hotel where the WHCD was veing held. 2) Imagine the intent he had to have in order to travel that distance all the while thinking about what he was going to do. 3) He either moved several weapons or procured them in/around DC and figured out a way to get them in proximity to the WHCD. 4) He took the time to load the weapons on to his body (to reportedly include several knives) and nobody noticed. 5) Now here is the kicker...in his hidden location he was somehow aware that the President was in the room and was seated. How/when was he aware of that part? 6) If he wasn't a guest at the WHCD and he couldn't see the President from where he was....how did he know? 7) It's not like he could go look in the room and then go load up with his gear. 8) He was supposedly a guest at the exact hotel? Like every room in that place wasn't booked full over a month in advance? In DC, on a Saturday, with the WHCD in the same hotel....have you ever booked a hotel in DC during a Major Presidential event? Good luck!!! All of it screams that he had help from someone in DC. Someone with some serious knowledge and capabilities. You just don't pull off something like that on a whim and without some serious reconnaissance ahead of time.

In an interview with Lex Friedman, Musk said that after 2027 there would be no going back. When the reporter clarified what he meant, Musk paused for almost a minute, then added: “It’s not a catastrophe, it’s a transition.” Analysts have identified three themes that he has been particularly vocal about: autonomous intelligence, loss of meaning, and energy dependency. Everything he predicted is already happening. The first sign is the collapse of attention. Musk said that people will stop thinking long-term. The planning horizon has shrunk from 30 years to three; people don’t build, they just innovate. MIT research shows that the generation born after 2000 has an attention span of just eight seconds. Musk called this cultural Alzheimer’s. The second sign is artificial intelligence, which will no longer be subordinate. Musk said: “When the system starts correcting the person, and not the other way around, linear logic will end.” Algorithms already control our attention, choice of partners, food and thoughts. This will not be a revolt of machines, but a silent loss of freedom of choice. The third sign is the energy dependence of civilization. People are increasingly unable to survive without electricity for even a single day. When energy becomes currency, its control will become power. Musk believes that by 2027, the relationship between people and energy will surpass everything, and everything that is not autonomous will disappear. There is only one way out: a return to meaning. “Technology is stronger than us, but not smarter. As long as we have goals, we are not algorithms,” Musk repeated. He added: “We must learn to be human before systems start doing everything for us and controlling us👌 downloaded👇🏻 @Endendini1

I Strongly disagree BLUF we take our Oath seriously (unlike politicians) to maintain good order and discipline. Anyone who violates it must be held accountable. He desecrated it. The military values, core principles must be preserved, respected and upheld. It’s a much higher standard that we live and serve by. If political representatives know of others who are violating their oath and core values remain silent is the reason why their oath is meaningless.

NEW: Rep. Anna Paulina Luna calls for the pardon of the special forces soldier who made $400,000 betting on the capture of Maduro. “Unless the DOJ plans on going after all the crooks in congress currently insider trading, this is simply skewed justice.” “There is no "justice" when guys like this get the book thrown at him yet members are illegally profiting every day…” Spot on.
Collin Rugg@CollinRugg

BREAKING: The DOJ has arrested a special forces soldier who made $400,000 betting on the removal of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, according to ABC. Federal investigators say the soldier bet more than $33,000 just hours before Trump announced Maduro's capture. The special forces soldier was reportedly directly involved with the capture. "The largest position -- a $32,537 bet that Maduro would be out of office by Jan. 31 -- resulted in a 1,242% profit of $404,222," ABC News reported. "Following his successful trading relating to Maduro- and Venezuela-related contracts, [Gannon Ken] VAN DYKE allegedly sent most of his proceeds to a foreign cryptocurrency vault before depositing them into a newly created online brokerage account. The same day of the operation, VAN DYKE withdrew the majority of his allegedly unlawful proceeds from his Polymarket account..." the DOJ announced. "VAN DYKE, 38, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, is charged with three counts of violating the Commodity Exchange Act, each of which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison; one count of wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison; and one count of an unlawful monetary transaction, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison."
