So, a grade school in Kanas forced an 8-year old Native boy to cut his hair. Should Native American boys be allowed to wear their hair long at school?

My mom Marian Robinson was my rock, always there for whatever I needed. She was the same steady backstop for our entire family, and we are heartbroken to share she passed away today. We wanted to offer some reflections on her remarkable life: barackobama.medium.com/statement-on-t…

Twitter’s logo is an indication that its owners cannot define its identity or is proof that it lacks one. It is a poor misappropriation of the symbol Malcolm X used to reject his slave owner’s name while memorializing the loss of his African name.

@POTUS How about starting by reducing the interest rate on Sallie Mae student loans?

As long as I am president, my Administration will never stop fighting to deliver relief to student loan borrowers and bring the promise of college to more Americans. That’s a commitment.

@notcapnamerica I have white colleagues who wear full sleeves of tattoos, and no one has made an issue of it. To be honest, there is no dress code. Let’s just say that the professional standards have dropped, either that or no one really cares about dress codes or standards for that matter.

Are y’all okay? We have a nationwide teacher shortage and you’re upset a Black woman with a foot tattoo is just…standing in front of her whiteboard?

Exactly. The misconception that affirmative action meant unqualified people have been admitted into college solely because of their race was never true and is quite frankly an ignorant interpretation. Thank you @joyannreid for setting the record straight and sharing your truth!

@RitchieTorres Why should we be surprised? African-Americans are no longer relevant as a minority group. Besides, our nation is beyond race. (Tongue in cheek). I am an African-American female. I see the handwriting on the wall.

SHOCKING: Ron DeSantis has BANNED the teaching of AP African American Studies in Florida. Florida has gone from Don’t Say Gay to Don’t Say Black.

I just tested positive for COVID. I’ve had a scratchy throat for a couple days, but am feeling fine otherwise. Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, and she has tested negative. It’s a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down.

@Word_from_Wise @BarackObama Black history does not erase American history. Neither does it divide us. To suggest that Black history is divisive is the equivalent of denying both its significance and its relevance in American history and the development of this nation.

@BarackObama Right. So why not let's celebrate American History and celebrate the things that bring us together instead of the things that drive us apart (that you're so into @BarackObama).

As we celebrate Black History Month, it’s important to remember that we shouldn’t treat this month as though it is somehow separate from our collective American history. Black history is American history.
