While we're on it, the Commissioner & Dep Commissioners of the #NACC receive (free) annual luxury Qantas Chairman's Lounge membership. That sort of soft bribery & persuasion should never be accepted, or ever be acceptable in people running an investigative anti-corruption body.

David Crisafulli says his team are all on the same page on abortion. He's right. Don't take my word for it – take theirs. 🧵

@patio11 Is the Post Office scandal in the UK the counterexample to this (whereby the introduction of computers suggested serious fraud on the part of the postmasters which was more likely bugs in the systems in most cases)?

@tabamatu Also the suis is incorrect - je travaille means both I work and I am working. I did have to remind myself whether travailler took etre in the past tense but it doesn't

Just French being French. Was so pleased with myself as I typed it in. Of course that particular use goes the other way around. 😂

@IanColdwater I've learned a lot about container escape threat models from you, you're a true advocate for improving society and helping others, and lookitup.baby is one of the best URLs/twitter exchanges in history

@editingemily demotions is charitable compared to managed out (and if a significantly higher number of ICs leave because of the changes then it'll need even more managers to go!)

And “we’re asking each s-team organization to increase the ratio of individual contributors to managers by at least 15% by the end of Q1 2025” is a fascinating way of saying a bunch of managers are going to get demotions.

@RonniSalt @AlboMP After what's happened in the UK in the last few days, you'd think he'd hurry that up a bit!

@AlboMP Just a reminder to all Australians that it's now been 30 days and counting since @AlboMP promised Australians an anti-islamophobia envoy. Clearly Albanese was either lying at the time, and continues to lie about this, or he considers Islamic Australians second-class citizens. .

@JRRothschild13 @Daily_Epsilon It's 10! * (1 + 11 + 11 * 12 + 11 * 12 * 13). You can ignore 10! from here, and do (1 + 11 * (1 + 12 * (1 + 13))) or 1 + 11 * (1 + 12 * 14) = 1 + 11 * (1 + 168) = 1 + 11 * 169 = 1860. Divide by 10, divide by 2, divide by 3 to get 31, all without a calculator (12 * 14 was hardest)

@Daily_Epsilon I’m sure there is a neater way to do it, but I used a calculator to determine the sum, which is 6749568000. Then divided it by 2000. Then continued to divide by 2 and 3 until I reached 217. Its factors are 31 and 7. Thus 31 is the largest prime factor.

@Briggs Converting them is difficult due to lack of internal light and sufficient plumbing. Demolishing and rebuilding is likely easier.

@colmmacc We used a privacy latch with the coin twist slot on the outside, and then locked it with the coin when we wanted to stop our troublemakers (cats) getting in

Most latches won't really do, they'd trap someone in or would only work from inside. But I want to keep our kid safe from going in even if nobody is using the bathroom.

We have a sliding pocket door on our bathroom; like a barn door but it's recessed into the wall. Our tiny toddler has figured out how to open it though! Any suggestions for how to keep it closed? ideally from the outside, but without locking someone in.

@jessfraz If the pedantic stylistic comment isn't from a linter, then the linting rules can be improved (or the comment can be ignored)

Actually, tests find bugs. Sure on occasion a code review might find a bug but it’s not deterministic, a test is deterministic. Sure you can write shit tests. But if you write good ones they will be deterministic. Stop drinking dumb koolaid two-wrongs.com/code-reviews-d…

@mountain_ghosts isn't it the consumers of the comment IDs with the problem, not github itself (i.e. it's rfcbot not coping with the 2^32 overflow)?
