TLDR: If you use USB ports with higher polling than 1KHz and especially if your mouse and keyboard are connected to the same USB-controller....well you have some work to do. Software to map out your system/problems/fix what can be fixed: LatencyMon resplendence.com/latencymon USBTreeView #download" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">uwe-sieber.de/usbtreeview_e.… MSI v3 / github.com/spddl/GoInterr… Before the "endless boring fixing" I suggest you join a custom DM server through the old server browser and you’ll probably get 50-100% better FPS compared to Valve Official servers. VAC Live and some other things that run on Valve official servers are insanely tax heavy for the already shit performance Source2 has. In 2026 you can basically only use Thunderbolt for your mouse and keyboard because they don't need to wait for any interrupt que's as they've got direct access to your CPU and RAM. USB-ports just give you endless ISR que's and will choke Core 0. If you don't manually set your GPU, Network card and audio to use specific Core's Windows 11 will just put everything to Core 0. Since Win11 is still a single core/thread OS by default you'll see your console full of thread starvation and tick drift if you type status in the console since Core 0 is basically on life support. Normal USB ports give you too much DPC latency. Run LatencyMon and you’ll see Wdf01000.sys hammering Core 0 with endless ISRs (USB devices need to "speak" with this file since it handle the "interrupt request que" that USB uses) and never touch any other core/thread. Then you'll most likely see nvlddmkm.sys will be your 2nd DPC latency problem if you don't have set your GPU to High priority using MSI v3 tool and made sure you don't have anything else on that PCI-E lane (very common that the recommended NVME slot share PCI-E lane with the GPU) Good luck! 😁 reddit.com/r/WindowsHelp/…

Linux will be dead until SteamOS for Deaktop launches. Silence Linus so he basically quit so the goal is being nice instead of great Except for a few distros that you won’t be using Windows give’s you a better experience with wsudo / TI and especially with some C++ & assembler mods of your bios. But for anyone that doesn’t have to be gaming on a laptop just get a Macbook Air 13”. Leagues ahead of anything you can get with Linux or Windows!

@ThourCS2 yeah you can only play on custom servers found via the old server browser or direct ip via a servers website. Valve’s servers are literally just bots

@kaaaash____ @riteshpatel1884 obviously when it’s a laptop. Macbook and macOS is something entirely different. It’s basically like God had a computer brand in comparison to PC. Linux is absolutely dead garbage in comparison. A heavy modded W11 is leagues ahead of Linux & the jump to Mac is 10x that

@kaaaash____ inställ pwsh, a compiler and bild latest version of wsudo. Set global variables. Learn Assembler so you can mod BIOS that you’re a high performance server and then do about 200 kernel mods to not get gimped by modern standby. Then master pwsh. Get back with your verdict in 2027

@k1rallik That's why you don't use Chrome and in general if possible use "portable" versions rather than installing shit. This is what you use: $env:Path = [System.Environment]::GetEnvironmentVariable("Path","Machine") + ";" + [System.Environment]::GetEnvironmentVariable("Path","User")

🚨 do you understand what just happened to your passwords cpuid one of the most trusted sites in PC hardware. hacked. April 10th, 2026. CPU-Z and HWMonitor. both compromised. > fake CRYPTBASE.dll ships inside the installer > connects to C2, downloads a C# file > compiles it silently using YOUR own Windows tools > injects into memory. never touches disk. AV sees nothing. > opens Chrome's password vault. dumps everything. the chain: cpuid → HWMonitor installer → DLL hijack → supp0v3[.]com → silent .NET compile → in-memory injection → Chrome credentials stolen same group. same C2 domain. hit FileZilla in March 2026. they got lazy. that's the only reason we caught it.
vx-underground@vxunderground

Mr. Titus Tech is correct. cpuid-dot-com is indeed delivering malware right now. As I began poking this with I stick I discovered this is not your typical run-of-the-mill malware. This malware is deeply trojanized, distributes from a compromised domain (cpuid-dot-com), performs file masquerading, is multi-staged, operates (almost) entirely in-memory, and uses some interesting methods to evade EDRs and/or AVs such as proxying NTDLL functionality from a .NET assembly. The C2 domain present in one of the binaries is a clear IoC. This is the same Threat Group who was masquerading FileZilla in early March, 2026. They've been busy.

I just got off the phone with someone who works in defense policy in Washington. What they told me should end every "Trump is reckless" argument permanently. "Every single president since Clinton received the same intelligence briefing on Iran's nuclear timeline. Every single one was told the window was closing. Every single one chose to kick it down the road because the political cost of acting was higher than the political cost of waiting." Trump got the same briefing. 60kg of 90% enriched uranium. 4 weeks to breakout. Material for 2 bombs. He chose to act knowing it would tank his approval to 35%. He chose to act knowing his own base would split. He chose to act knowing NATO allies would refuse to help. He chose to act knowing gas prices would spike. A senior analyst I know at a major think tank put it this way: "The difference between Trump and every president before him isn't intelligence. They all had the same data. The difference is courage." Read that again. Every president had the same file on their desk. Only one opened it and did something. I'll keep you updated. Turn on notifications. 🚨

TLDR : This is the ultimate cautionary tale for "Elite" PC builders. The "Elite" ASUS Apex Encore has a $99 OEM-tier USB topology. By daisy-chaining the NIC, Audio, and AURA LEDs onto a single USB controller, it creates an interrupt storm on Core 0. Only Fix: Bypass the onboard trash with a PCIe TB4 card for direct CPU-lane access. 🖱️⚡ The Full Post: Why your "Elite" Motherboard is a Latency Trap You spent $1,500 on a motherboard for "records," but the I/O engineers were sleeping. The ASUS Z790 Apex Encore might've been the king of DDR5 frequencies, but its USB blueprint is a nightmare for competitive gaming. "Samhall level engineering" Samhall is a state run company that only employ retards so they can bring any value to society and feel good that they also contribute. They’re not meant to be the role models of ASUS ROG products 🤣 The Chain of Failure: ASUS serial-connects the Intel I226-V NIC (just picking one of the worst NIC's avaiblable is a giga failer in it's own) but ASUS where like, what if we just don't pick the most shit NIC, what if we also serial-connect everything to the USB-controller that then connect to the other 2 USB-controllers, then we can not just have the record in highest CPU MHz, DDR5 MT/s but also highest DPC latency and ISR count! So let's start strong by using port 2 for the ALC4080 Audio (which is just a USB 2.0 bridge ofc) onto the same internal Intel USB controller. So it doesn't just introduce latency and jitter, by putting it on a USB2 port it get's severely capped. For instance ASUS state their audio chipset can deliver 32 bit 384KHz audio streams but in reality since they put it on the USB2 port it's max is 24 bit 44.1KHz. For comparison my Macbook Pro M1 handle 96KHz in it's AUX port. So we started out really strong, one could say we're almost full retards at this point, but let's secure the gold medal in retardation. So we use USB-port 10 for the AURA RGB LED controller so you have one less working USB-port and one more source of jitter, added ISR's and pay for something truly unuseful. Interrupt Contention: When you move your mouse even at 1KHz, it’s fighting for CPU attention against your Ethernet packets and RGB lighting "heartbeats." Core 0 Hammering: Because of this "mongo" topology, Windows forces almost every USB interrupt onto Core 0. If you use 4KHz or 8KHz for your mouse and maybe even your keyboard then we really get into the "ISR GigaChad Storm, or rather tornado) My results (The "Psychosis" Profile): ISR Storms: While I was hunting for 6.2 GHz stability, Core 0 is drowning in 50,000+ ISRs/DPC spikes while the other cores sit at 0. The "Semi-Freeze": High-speed NVMe I/O (like a Kingston KC3000) sharing lanes with the GPU creates a PCIe bus bottleneck that feels like RDPing to a server in Japan. This one also deserve special mention since ASUS named the M2 slots M2_1 and basically only mention there's other M2 slots what you should be using if you don't want to gimp your SSD performance. Audio Lag: Forced 7.1 "virtual" processing on a USB-bridged chip creates positional audio "psychosis" where you can't tell a footstep from a ghost. The "MacGyver" Bare Metal Fix: Nuke the Onboard I/O: Disable AURA and Audio in BIOS. PCIe Bypass: Install a ThunderboltEX 4 card. It uses dedicated CPU PCIe lanes, bypassing the chipset's USB-jitter-mess entirely. Industrial Shielding: Use high-grade Dell USB-C cables (E-marked, 40Gbps) to tunnel your 8KHz mouse signals directly to the CPU. The LatencyMon / USBTreeView "Crime Scene" Looking at the logs right now, here is what the "TopG" board result is best described as: Total System Exorcism Needed! The exorcism isn't "probably best I do it" It's absolutely mandatory for this motherboard to be used for anything else than trying to set overclocking results. I'll end with what I uncovered during this deep autistic deep dive shocked me, since I expected a motherbaord that costs more than my entire Macbook Pro M1 to have USB-ports that are usable for anything else than pluggin in a USB-stick to boot or store something. As a guy who's been using PC's since MSDos and worked 25 years in IT and have used PC's for 20+ of it... Even running my own created ISO of Win11 IoT and built and upgraded every PC for myself, family and friends and a shit ton in my line of work. I've got empirical evidence that there's not a single PC vendor left that care if anything work much less are optimized, they only care about making a cool box with as hyped specs on it as possible. I never thought I'd see the day where I ended my post with: If Valve ever brings CS2 to macOS, PC is a closed chapter for me. Until then, I'm stuck re-engineering $1,000+ "Elite" boards with pliers and beer-pack zip ties just to get a clean signal for my mouse...

Still getting bad avg FPS and 1% lows in CS2? It might be worth trying the 566.36 NVIDIA driver for CS2, keep in mind that it's old (2024) and might cause issues on some newer games. 1. Uninstall old drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) 2. Use NVCleanstall to clean install 566.36 w/o bloat (Tutorial in the replies if you need it) 👇🏻 If you want to be able to play other/newer games as well, NVIDIA driver 577.00 is a solid compromise! Let me know if it improved things for you. 🙏🏻

Just to add to this, this isn't even the full scope of improvements you will get. In FPS Benchmark map you are not really interacting with *proper* networking or doing complex input handling. The overall performance improvement is multifaceted. Will provide numbers soon.
‎Gabe Follower@gabefollower

Reddit user Vuvei shared his initial rough benchmark comparison between the "main" and "animgraph_2_beta" branches. Other users confirmed an increase in FPS of about 10–15%.

@possiblyazure especially when it's basically useless since it can't stop DMA cheating since those setups are so cheap now. In any rare case they'd be banned: Serious cheaters spoof their MAC/IP/SSD & have a 2nd SSD ready to go so they're back playing in next que on new lvl 10 acc in no time.

CS2 has a big problem and it's high time we discuss it. I am not anti skins but the shameless state of game for people who actually play the game and use matchmaking is terrible and pathetic. Instead of fixing that we get an endless supply of cash grabs. Details in comments
