Our team, led by Deepti Srinivasan (@DeeptiSrini), Sam Schwartz, Tino Karakousis, and Aarin Dave, wrote in @JACRJournal about how mandating lung cancer screening signage where tobacco is sold and in designated smoking areas could be a high-yield strategy to improve #LungCancerScreening awareness! They also talk about how adopting simplified eligibility criteria like #PotterCriteria can make messaging about lung cancer screening clearer and more likely to resonate with the public. authors.elsevier.com/c/1mt115VZMrSF…

Lung cancer is the #1 cause of cancer deaths in NY. In recognition of November as Lung Cancer Awareness month I am urging @GovKathyHochul to improve access to lung cancer screening and help save more lives from the disease by signing A1195a into law. #FightCancerNY

Phenomenal work by @AlexisChidi at the plenary session of AATS #ITSOS2025!! Using geospatial analysis, she found that pharmacies are commonly close to #lungcancerscreening centers and could serve as community sites for education and referral to screening.

Amazing talk from @AlexisChidi at #ITSOS2025 about access to #lungcancer screening resources for patients in high-risk areas! The idea of utilizing pharmacies for lung cancer screening education and uptake in local communities is very exciting and something we hope to work on!

@sciqst @MSK_Thoracic @MSK_RadOnc The deep learning model uses imaging data only but we also evaluated secondhand smoke exposure in this analysis. Our ongoing work includes a detailed evaluation of environmental, occupational, and other risk factors alongside imaging and genomic analysis.

That sounds like an incredibly promising application of deep learning in #lungcancer risk prediction. I'm curious if the study considers environmental factors that could contribute to lung cancer risks in never-smoking women? It's great to see multidisciplinary efforts in this area. For those interested in delving deeper into biomedical queries, check out sciqst.com—it's a comprehensive resource for generating biomedical reviews. #Medicine #AIinMedicine
