Personally, I would have required they all were arrested and their parents/carers come to collect them from police custody. Contrary to comments and narratives being pushed by some, this is not a policing problem, but rather an insight into what the future may hold. Young children during school half-term, decide to storm a store and cause absolute carnage, steal from the business in numbers and cause significant alarm to other members of the public while filming their criminal activity for content. Where does this sort of behaviour graduate to? What is the logical next step from this? How many of the parents of these children will know what they have been doing?

The Daily Mail has to be the most vindicated and unfairly maligned publication of all time. They spent the 90s relentlessly raising the issues of bogus asylum seekers, EU overreach and pedophilia cover-ups. Were called cranks and hysterics, yet that’s all the news ever is now.

The trial of Iyad Albattiki, 30, who owns the Funny Boyz fast food shop in Blackpool, Lancashire, who denied strangling 14-year-old Charlene Downes after having sex with her and His business partner, Mohammed Reveshi, 50, who denied disposing of her body, was halted when the jury failed to reach a verdict. The subsequent retrial collapsed owing to concerns over a key prosecution witness. Both men were cleared of the charges. The case is still open. Why are such high proportions of social housing occupied by foreign-born heads of household? In part because in 1976, equalities legislation made it illegal to favour native-born people when allocating housing – so-called "indirect discrimination". Repeal these ludicrous laws!

No. Cultures that execute large numbers of young men select out violence and criminality. The Taming of the Gene, I call it. The Romans did it. The West did it. When they stopped, they become violent again.

The one change I would make to the civil service is the pipeline to the senior ranks. We need more people with a working class background who are less likely to fall for stupid social contagions and political fads.
