It's worth noting the massive nor'easter blizzard that impacted major metro areas with between 2 and 3 feet of snow and hurricane force winds has not been blamed for any mass fatalities. Clearly they did something right, compared to the Buffalo blizzard that claimed 47 lives.

🌪️ Tornado Aftermath – I-57 South of Effingham, IL (02/19/26) 🚨 A possible tornado crossed I-57 south of Effingham, Illinois, on February 19, 2026, near Edgewood, causing multiple vehicles — including cars and semi-trucks — to be blown off the roadway and severely damaged. Several individuals sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital by ambulance. All victims were alive at the scene.
