Small Teaser of our IO (Industrial Operator) 2.0 An AI system for Industrial Control Rooms. Version 2 going to production in early September. Version 3.0 (2025 Q4) in the making will use a new "Omniscient feature" we are developing based on hierarchical Realtime agents, where the industrial process intelligence is distributed across an intelligent tree. Testing now with the new @OpenAI gpt-realtime... Teaser coming soon too.

Fable is amazing for operators who don't know what they're doing. It just "gets it" and does things right. For people who DO know what they're doing the gap is much smaller. Fable will still do things faster with less iterations but... a skilled operator can do amazing things even with freaking Sonnet. Just at a slower pace. Like I mentioned before, I created a really good, complex game with Sonnet 3.7. Modern models say the code is solid. It's good. It just took a few months to get it right. Fable would probably build it in a few hours with an idiot at the wheel. That's the difference here.

tbh fable getting taken away after only 2 days is probably for the best, because imagine having it for 12 days and then having to go back to opus

@asaio87 of course people posted vanal demos for engagement. but otherwise were we the rest supposed to post our internal work and process changes around a model use? fable is significantly good to boost progress up if u r working on open-ended and substantial stuff.

Everybody says fable was so good and solve hard problems, and strategizes, and brainstorms funny thing is, during the 3 days it was available I only saw just some nice rendering graphics that was all I saw that was impressive about it I personally had 24 hrs with it, and built the same stuff as i do with Opus and felt the same.

the "funniest" part is how many that moved to fable from gpt5.5 medium and now back to 5.5 ...but on high or xhigh. open ai the big winner of the week... without releasing any model

Fable got restricted and suddenly every model feels weaker. GPT-5.5, Opus… good, but not that good. Am I the only one feeling this?

If model fusion feels like a revelation, then you've spent too much time treating LLMs as chatbots and not enough time treating them as reasoning components inside real systems.

As much as I want to regain access to Fable, let's remember that 99.99%+ of the world has barely scratched the surface on GPT-5.5 and Opus 4.8, not to mention open-weight models 1. Very few people in F500 are tokenmaxxing effectively 2. For most real-world workflows, the cost-accuracy frontier has not been met

@AndrewCritchPhD it really is. imo - it's also why we're going to end up wtih "a network of neural networks" in the end. the mainframe AI era is ending.

Do people consider this research? This is a years-old perspective update for users of theMultiplicity and other Encultured multi-frontier workflows. Is it *still* surprising people that multi-agent workflows can outperform single agents on safety and robustness?

@casper_hansen_ based model << generic harness/scaffolding << specific harness scaffolding I am confused with the fuzz. I think the main insights revealed from all this is the big gap between what llms can enable a what the world is really with them

I have tried to use OpenRouter Fusion API with cheap open models only, and saw reasoning that surpasses any of them individually. Then I looked into API logs and saw that this "Fusion" still calls Opus 4.8 as a judge. I see no way to disable it. Not cool, OpenRouter. Not cool.

Introducing the Fusion API, the smartest compound model in the market. Fusion achieves Fable-level intelligence at half the price. How it works 👇

@MichelIvan92347 true. i still think most people wont need (or know how to) use models of mythos+ skills. they will just feel the impact through services and applications they will use. I need fable level intelligence in our IO ( a - fashionably called now- "model fusion" powered system lol)
