@Justin_Bons Solano has had ONE year of reliability, from 2024 to now. . Before that it went down 11 times since 2020. The Bitcoin network has not gone down since 2013. When Solano has 12 years of security then maybe it's worth investing in. @grok Retweet this post in 2037

Crypto is absurd; the top 3 chains are nonsense, that is, if we are honest with ourselves: BTC has no capacity, programmability & no long-term security or scarcity! ETH also pivoted to reject utility, only to become a worse version of BTC... All while XRP remains centralized!

@TheS_Resource I played equal the mins U7 U8 but then played fair mins from U9 because I had one kid that didn't care much. This caused problems but it's not fair on the other kids if they're giving 100%. Now at U10 I've gone back to equal mins.

@TheS_Resource Most teams can only play equal playing time if the players are of equal ability. When I say equal I mean within the same bracket of ability.

Thoughts? 💭
Darren Bullen@BullenDP

@TheS_Resource @SmigBWR Equal effort = equal playing time. Otherwise fair playing time which is 50%. Never less though as that would be unfair. If one child from a team of 9 decides to not run, not tackle and not chase players back, should they be garunteed the same playing time as 8 others that do?

@SmigBWR @TheS_Resource Understood, but your point is that if players don't get equal playing time the manager is being over competitive. If a 10 or 11 year old is playing at a lower level, fine. This won't work if one player is not trying at a higher level even at this age group

@BullenDP @TheS_Resource whilst I understand your feedback Darren, the poll set out wasn't asking about the various ways equal game time could be impacted, hence my view point. The argument of if a child wants to be there at all, based on perceived effort etc, is a totally different conversation/poll 👍

At what age should equal playing time stop in youth football? ⚽️

@SmigBWR you’ve hit on such an important point. The heart of the debate isn’t just minutes played, it’s about the experience those minutes create. Competition can be healthy but not when it replaces care, belonging, or opportunity. Equal playing time isn’t just about fairness, it’s about learning, confidence, and keeping children in love with the game for the long term (life). ⚽️💛

@BullenDP @j3tbrainz @David_Ornstein @TheAthleticFC @Santi_J_FM He wasnt meant to be an Isak replacement. The club had no idea he would act a c*nt and do what he's been doing. Wissa was always intended to be the Callum Wilson replacement. Only by circumstance would Wissa now have to step into the primary striker role

@j3tbrainz @David_Ornstein @TheAthleticFC @Santi_J_FM Wissa had one really good season... No way he replaces Isak he's not in the same league. Thiago gets his chance now after out all last season. Ricos back..Dango replaces Mbeumo, Carvalho steps up.. We'll be just fine.

@SYBaker @StevenVent101 Yeah I'm not surprised, the whole point of the game is to have fun, and scoring goals is a big part of that. Hopefully the @fa will consider these implications

@BullenDP @StevenVent101 We (U13) played a tournament using 7v7 goals and found exactly that - that it was nigh on impossible to score. Many low scoring games across the whole tournament.

While this might seem all a bit revolutionary, in 2003 Manchester Utd ran a study with other academy U9 teams comparing 8 v 8 with 4 v 4. The results were significant. Over the course of 15 matches, they found the 4 v 4 players had: - 585 more passes - 481 more scoring attempts - 301 more goals - 525 more 1 v 1 duels - demonstrated 436 more dribbling skills. As significant was the the positive feedback from players, coaches and parents. In fact, 75% of players said they preferred the 4 v 4.

I can exclusively reveal the FA's plans 💪(okay, educated guess them based on the fact the FA in N. Ireland published their blueprint at the same time as the FA's announcement. In short: - 3 v 3 = to U9 - 5 v 5 = to U11 - 7 v 7 = to U13 - 9 v 9 = to U15 - 11 v 11 at U15 Also, some interesting developments re coaching quals. UEFA C to be compulsory at 9 v 9 by 2027/28. @sturge_p #teamgrassroots

The path to an improved experience for young players is so simple. Use the 5v5 pitches that already exist. Play two 3v3 games on the 5v5 pitch. Any subs can play mini 1v1 games. Adults can help solve problems but the games can run themselves. Kids can manage their own subs. Play, play, play and develop, develop, develop. More touches and more decisions. If the game in front of you doesn't ask enough questions choose another one. Change the goals. Change the area size. Change the task. The task can be the teacher as much as the game, as long as you set the task. #SundayShare

@BullenDP @PeterPrickett @FA @EnglandFutsal League's will need to adapt, not sure you really need to register scorelines in 4v4 football, they could just organise fixtures. We have a local league which requires clubs to have 2 teams of 'equal strength', they play 2 games against the same opposition & register scores.

New 4v4 rules from 26/27.. -Clubs hiring coaches will need to have more players per team to pay for coaches -Clubs with less pitch space will need bigger squads to accommodate players. Both lead to less game time for Sunday morning football. @fa @PeterPrickett @EnglandFutsal

@dave_trill82 @FA @PeterPrickett @EnglandFutsal Most teams will have bigger squads than 4, some 5v5 teams currently have 8 or 9 players to accommodate demand for children that want to play football. Coaching should be mainly done on the training pitch...let the kids play.

@BullenDP @FA @PeterPrickett @EnglandFutsal How do you work out less playing time? 4v4 won't need subs so all players can play all the game, parents can referee the games, how much coaching do you want to give a 6/7 year old on matchday? Would be a great time for leagues to adopt a summer time schedule for primary ages.

@PeterPrickett @FA @EnglandFutsal And they are 7 and 8 year old kids. In theory I am completely on board with the concept of Small sided games 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 to increase development. In practice it's much harder though.

@PeterPrickett @FA @EnglandFutsal Some clubs pay for external coaches to run the teams on a Sunday. This will either mean increasing the costs for players or having bigger squads. There are 5v5 teams with 8 or 9 players in now.... Players are travelling for 45 mins to get 20 mins per week game time.
