Currently, we're relying on a few expensive middleman at the end of our project in the Medicare Advantage line of business, which is both inefficient and detrimental to the people we aim to serve. If we had standardized, real-time data, my role wouldn’t even be necessary, and I’d be perfectly fine with that. I’d much prefer to see health outcomes improved rather than spending my time managing paperwork to the left then to the right and chasing down data

@CassandraTesla Healthcare data should not be harder for clinicians to access than it is for systems to store it, removing unnecessary intermediaries is where real improvement starts 📊

Healthcare professionals who handle data should pay close attention to this insightful interview. It offers valuable answers to the daily questions we face: Where is the data? Why are we relying on middlemen to access information we’ve already paid for? The current state of care coordination falls short of its true potential, failing to deliver the quality of healthcare we aim for, which should ultimately lead to better outcomes. This interview powerfully illustrates the reasons behind these challenges. x.com/MendelErlenwei…

This offers valuable insights into an unmet need in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS)by developing a healthcare portal specifically designed for individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). By adopting a multi-faceted approach, we can effectively meet both healthcare needs and tackle systemic issues like fraud, waste, and abuse. Here’s a comprehensive framework for creating this portal, aimed at optimizing health outcomes for MS patients: Holistic Patient-Centered Design - User Experience Focus on an intuitive and accessible design that caters to the diverse needs of MS patients, including those with visual impairments and cognitive challenges. - Customizable Dashboards Allow patients to personalize their home screens with important health metrics, reminders, and educational resources. Furthermore, integrating a dashboard that provides direct access to the FDA portal for reporting adverse events related to prescribed medications can significantly enhance patient engagement. This feature ensures that critical issues often overlooked by prescribers are addressed, empowering patients to make well-informed decisions about their healthcare. Just imagine, By implementing these strategies, we can empower individuals with MS and their caregivers to take a more active role in their healthcare, leading to a better understanding of their unmet needs. This is not impossible @Kara__Reece @FocusedOnTheFDA @ThePatientsSide @markboater

Amy Gleason, Acting Administrator, U.S. DOGE Service, and Strategic Advisor to HHS/CMS: “We have patients who can now access and share their data using their identity without logging into multiple patient portals and without acting as their own human fax machine.” “Patients can get apps that they choose and share their records with anyone they want, and they can use conversational AI to get powerful, personalized advice any time, day or night.”

🚨 “They were not given proper treatments.” 🚨 RFK Jr. shares disturbing details of two unvaccinated girls who died of measles after hospitals did not give them proper care. “I went to the funeral of one of those little girls, and I spent a day with the family of the other.” “Both of them told me that when they took their children to the hospital, they were treated as pariahs.” “They were shamed there.” “There’s a lot of people in this country who… are not going to vaccinate.” “I believe that we need to treat them with compassion and understanding and empathy and get them the treatments that they would get anywhere else in the world.” @SecKennedy

Misaligned incentives in multiple sclerosis healthcare raise significant concerns. Consider the taxpayer dollars spent on ineffective disease-modifying therapies that provide little benefit to a small patient population. Many of these therapies not only fail to deliver results but also cause harm, ultimately costing taxpayers, more money, and patient gets worse. Research has indicated that placebos can often offer similar benefits without the associated risks. @Kara__Reece @FocusedOnTheFDA

@RepEricBurlison Congressman sold out the American people to profits over people. The entire Congress needs to leave their seats and allow for new people to come in and make the changes because you failed.

America has the best doctors, the best medical technology, and the most innovative care in the world. Yet too often, patients are stuck with high costs and a system that lacks transparency and competition, ultimately leading to poor quality of care. @SecKennedy and I discussed how consolidation and anti-competitive behavior are driving up costs, and how we can work together to fix it - including implementing my Better Deals and Lower Prices Act that I was proud to pass into law earlier this year, delivering long-overdue transparency and accountability to pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) to help restore competition and bring down costs. We're going to keep working to deliver lower prices, lower premiums, and a system that works for both patients and taxpayers.

@RepArrington @HHSResponse @SecKennedy No, we don’t. We could have the best if we didn’t have profits over patients. And that’s a huge rabbit hole that has to be dug down deep into the roots and never to allow it to grow back and it’s going to take a lot of dedicated people who align with moral and ethics.

Absolutely. I work as a clinical practice consultant for a major health plan within the Medicare Advantage sector, and our primary focus is chasing down records. Honestly, I despise reviewing what I see every day; it's disheartening and isn't truly benefiting our members. @ThePatientsSide

RFK Jr. says the Biden administration was paying healthcare claims they knew were fraudulent. “The system under the Biden administration, was paying claims that we knew were fraudulent before we paid them.” “It was called the pay and chase system.” “And we’ve ended that now.” “So now we look at every claim and make sure that it is not fraudulent.”

YES Change New Approaches for MUltiple sclerosis too I know in my heart people with MS can do better with the truth and transparency in these very poor conventional narratives of MS must be treated with DMTs! It's essential to recognize that "addressing an unmet need" does not ensure the absence of "avoidable harms." This situation fosters conditions that lead to fraud, waste, and abuse, ultimately creating more victims. I align with Elon Musk's views on the potential dangers of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The National Multiple Sclerosis Society particularly stands out in my mind. I believe that when organizations, individuals, or institutions receive funding from pharmaceutical companies, it can lead to the promotion of drugs like Ocrevus, which may ultimately harm this vulnerable population.

Must watch testimony from RFK Jr. on how with positive change there will always be entrenched interests trying to stop it. “As my uncle, President John F. Kennedy, said, ‘Progress is a nice word, but change is its motivator, and change has its enemies.’” “We see those forces clearly: entrenched interests, defenders of a failing status quo, and institutions that put profits ahead of the American people.” “That resistance underscores the urgency of this moment.” “We can reverse chronic disease, improve public health, and lower costs.” “I stand ready to work with this committee and Congress to seize this opportunity.” “For our country, for our children, and for the healthy American people, together we can Make America Healthy Again.”

Yes! We need standardized, real time data that is meaningful to patients and better outcomes Kara, my daughter, along with another individual and me, founded Multiple Sclerosis United for Truth and Transparency (MSUTT) at msfortruth.org. Our organization aims to empower individuals with multiple sclerosis by helping them review data, compile questions for their healthcare providers, and report adverse events directly to the FDA. People with multiple sclerosis often find themselves exploited by big pharmaceutical companies and other entities that take advantage of this vulnerable population. Despite being relatively small in number in the United States, their needs are costing Medicare significantly more than other chronic illnesses. It's essential to recognize that "addressing an unmet need" does not ensure the absence of "avoidable harms." This situation fosters conditions that lead to fraud, waste, and abuse, ultimately creating more victims. @Kara__Reece @FocusedOnTheFDA @ThePatientsSide @tiffanyscuban @HCLibertyLab @HHSGov @NIH @NIH_Innovates I align with Elon Musk's views on the potential dangers of non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
