NFL Cheerleader. ER during COVID. mRNA/GLP trials for Big Pharma - not proud. Couldn't fix it from the inside, so I left. Takes on health the news won't touch.

Most people think leaving is failure. I used to believe that too. Right up until the night a twenty-three-year-old walked into my ER, and I realized I could no longer be a part of what I was watching. The previously healthy young woman came in unable to speak clearly, with sudden weakness on one side of her body. Textbook stroke - but obviously it had to be something else, because she was twenty-three. Advanced imaging showed multiple small strokes. Some fresh. Some hours old, maybe days. Nothing in her history explained it - except one thing. A pharmaceutical product her university had mandated before she could start the semester. One week earlier. I could diagnose her. Stabilize her. Get neurology involved. But none of that would touch why it was allowed to happen in the first place. I couldn't even document it properly. No diagnostic code existed for what I was looking at. She wouldn't become a statistic. There would be no accountability. It was almost as if it never happened at all. That's how it works. We don't just harm people. We make the harm invisible. A few months later, I left. Not because I stopped caring. Because I finally understood that sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is loudly refuse to participate in the dysfunction. I'm not the only one who's come to that conclusion. I wrote about what that costs - and what we owe the people willing to pay it. @RWMaloneMD

@Kevin_McKernan I completely agree with you on what the real story actually is. I just wrote it on Substack. I know that sounds like a trick, but for real. 😂

I’ve known @MartyMakary for 30 years, since public health school. He was a gunner then and he’s a gunner now. All he’s ever wanted to do was make health care better, safer and more affordable for the American people. I’ve about had it with the scalps being handed to Big Tobacco and Big Pharma. Marty will be fine, and will continue to shine in his future endeavors. Meanwhile, the extinction-level chronic illness rate continues unabated. #MAHA
Calley Means@calleymeans

Marty is one of the highest integrity, highest energy, highest IQ people and I’ve ever met. He got more done in a year than any previous FDA commissioner has done in their careers - including re-invigorating the “food” part of the FDA with Kyle.

If you buy that Marty Makary's firing is about vapes, congratulations, you're gullible enough to work for the Wall Street Journal. Everyone intuited that Big Pharma runs FDA. The value of having people with spines there, even briefly, is that we received incontrovertible evidence of that fact.

@HCLibertyLab @MartyMakary It just proves no single person, not even a group of people, no matter their position, can fix this system.

@MartyMakary just resigned as FDA Commissioner. The man in charge of regulating drugs got pushed out of his chair for the crime of trying to regulate. My take on what actually happened.

@DrMakaryFDA's resignation didn't end the movement. It just told us where it actually lives. Hint: It's not in a government building. It's at home.

We are facing a massive population decline and John Thune thinks it’s a good time to shill for pesticide manufacturers. For those who don’t know, a lot of the crap they are spraying on our food during farming IS causing cancer… especially in kids. Not to mention the KNOWN impacts on fertility. The pesticide liability shield needs to STAY OUT of the Farm Bill. Hearing the Senate is trying to add it back in.

Why Health Insurance Makes Care More Expensive youtu.be/DlyAYWrIAgo?si… via @YouTube @JoinCrowdHealth This is a great episode with the CEO of Crowdhealth, Andy Schonnover. Andy is that rarest of tech guys, he understands healthcare extremely well, is very humble, and very focused on the Crowdies, that is, his customers. Everything he does is done with empathy and value. Two of my favorite people are customers and spokespersons, @noahkaufmanmd and @HCLibertyLab Please give this a listen and learn how Crowdhealth has the best design, website, and transparency in the crowd sharing space, in my opinion. The highlights for me with CrowdHealth are as follows: • Complete transparency on the website. You can review all of the claims data! The BUCAHs aren't doing that! • Low and simple pricing options • A great concierge program, and you are assigned one person with whom you always interact! • There is telehealth included, along with telecounselling. • Great shopping tools to help you find great doctors, labs, drugs, and imaging. • There is a discount for being healthy! It is tied to labs, visceral body fat, and other measures. Health Sharing and DPC are a great combination! Please check it out and let me know what you think! @noahkaufmanmd @HCLibertyLab @DutchRojas @HeathVeuleman @HEALTHCOSTtruth @mass_marion @anish_koka @AtlasMD @Steelmanmedical @docshanep

If patients were given true informed consent regarding psychiatric drugs, no one would take them.

@AdamUrato1 Drugs that act on mom's brain also act on baby's brain? Seems like something we could have predicted. Yet reproductive psychiatrists are still screaming "safe and effective" while the imaging tells on them. In other news, water is wet.

NEW Study: Fetuses with prenatal SSRI exposure have brain & placental alterations seen on in utero MRI. This is now the 13th consecutive MRI study showing that prenatal SSRIs are associated with altered fetal brain development. #MOESM1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">nature.com/articles/s4138… "Importantly, we observed decreased left & right hippocampal volumes, as well as reduced cortical gyrification index, curvedness, & surface area in fetuses exposed to SRIs compared to unexposed controls after adjusting for maternal depression scales." "SRIs cross the placenta & potentially influence fetal brain development by altering levels of critical neurotransmitters. Indeed, changes in serotonin levels during critical periods of brain development could alter the formation of neural circuits & potentially lead to brain structural alterations & subsequent neuropsychiatric outcomes."
