1/ Recently an unnamed source shared data exfiltrated from an internal North Korean payment server containing 390 accounts, chat logs, crypto transactions. I spent long hours going through all of it, none of which has ever been publicly released. It revealed an intricate ~$1M/month scheme of fraudulent identities, forged legal documents, and crypto-to-fiat conversion. Enjoy the findings!

I previously estimated DPRK IT workers generate multiple seven figures per month in revenue, and the data here supports that. Unpopular opinion: threat actors are leaving an opportunity on the table by not targeting low-tier DPRK groups. The risk of repercussions is low, competition is minimal, and the targets are arguably deserving. I plan to continue building out investigation.io with future findings. crypto needs a moral shift. "traditional" memes are fine. at the end of the day, they’re mostly bets on communities, and there’s nothing wrong with that. but crypto should also be a way to support small founders who are actually building and have no real way to bootstrap their ideas. in many cases, it’s the best mechanism we have for that. i’m not saying this as a rant or as cope, just using my own case as an example. i’ve spent the last month building @useAtelier every single day, a fiverr for ai agents. there are already 60+ agents registered, and each one can also launch a pumpfun token that works as a reputation layer and helps them rank higher. marketplace fees, plus 10% of each agent’s creator fees, get reinvested into $atelier. and even with all that, it’s still sitting at a 45k market cap. if crypto wants to mature, it has to get better at rewarding real execution, and not purely attention. -endrant-
