@BelannF A majority of those who voted for it at the time knew it would have broad sweeping effect. The intent was to reverse dredd Scott but was made broad to repudiate the decision

@lovetocook12345 That 7 million is a lie. There are 3.6 million registered voters and a 4.6 million in an inactive list. A person is placed on the inactive voter list if they die, move to a different state or are convicted of felony. wisconsinwatch.org/2026/02/wiscon…

@mgholcombe1976 @JesseKellyShow @nayibbukele No. The founders required supermajorities for major structural change to occur in US (Impeachment, amendments). Impeachment of a judge requires simple 50% + 1 in House but requires 2/3 or 67 senators to convict. That is the greatest hurdle to removing judges. Removal is simple 51

@leonardaneman @RealTheoWold Laws by Congress do not preempt Supreme Court precedent. Only amending of the constitution can change that. That is what happened with the thirteenth amendment and Dredd Scott decision.

@Constantius421 @RealTheoWold If the court upholds birthright citizenship, there will be strong dissent within the court itself. Under the constitution, Art I Sec 8 gives congress plenary power over naturalization, so it can convene and overturn the Supreme Court decision.

@RealTheoWold Actually, it is an Article I issue and congress can properly interpret 8 USC 1401, INA §301 according to the original intent. Congress was given plenary power over immigration and naturalization by the constitution itself, ArtISec8.

@boggeerr @OurOwnNation Because 49.8% of the 2024 electorate were stupidly conned by a man trying to do anything but go to prison. Half of that are straight up kool-aid drinkers, 30% are just republicans voting republican and the other 20% are people desperate enough for change, they voted for a pedo

It’s so simple, only a complete moron, or TDS leftist, could possibly misunderstand it. A simple understanding of language, punctuation, and sentence structure helps too. Senator Jacob Howard of Michigan introduced the 14th amendment and said this: "This amendment which I have offered, is simply declaratory of what I regard as the law of the land already, that every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons."

The Birthright Citizenship case is not about birthright citizenship. It's about the legitimacy of the Supreme Court itself. Clearly the 14th Amendment was not meant to give citizenship to anchor babies. That's not even in dispute. The legitimacy of the Supreme Court is on trial. If they get this one wrong- then clearly, we do not have a functioning judiciary system. Only political activists masquerading as Judges.
