@ContentDelta Also, I've been noticing a lot more bigger streamers running additional 24/7 channels, i wonder if this move by Twitch was to counter these types of channels earning ad revenue for essentially 100s-1000s of lurkers?

Twitch is a rollercoaster this week. This is a terrible update.
- Lurkers are forced to watch ads even when they are just doing their own thing.
- Users needing to watch 13(!) hours for drops can't do that muted anymore.
- Streamers now can't be 100% sure when ads are playing or not.
Revert this immediately.

Twitch appears to be running non-ad interstitials when the stream is minimized or muted, replacing the ad break that would otherwise appear.

WoW Midnight is going to be awesome, and you won't get to see anything of it.
There is one game I will never make content for and it is World of Warcraft, because I love the game and early in my creator journey I chose -that- as my offline game.
It is the one game I can play and never feel pressure to create content out of it and it has saved my mental health more than you'd know.
As a gaming creator, please pick one game/genre to never create content about to save some of the relaxed gaming magic.

Since a week or so now, whenever I try and see my channel on @TikTok I am greeted by this.
I don't know what is going on and have contacted TikTok about it, but am getting nothing but automated replies.
Can anyone enlighten me what happened or do I just start from scratch with a new channel?

While we have no official confirmation from @Twitch, I have not seen any evidence of this outside of people using the "Real Viewer Number" extension.
The author of this extension has said on record that the number is inaccurate. It counts:
- Bots like StreamElements and Sery_Bot
- People with 3 or more tabs open
Both of which are filtered out by Twitch.

Do we know this as fact? There’s so much misinformation when it comes to how Twitch analyzes data, with only anecdotal experience.
I’ll be charitable and say that lurkers make up 50% of my viewership. I seriously doubt viewers are no longer being counted after 30 minutes.

I totally understand why they made changes to fight off botting, but it is very annoying that they no longer count lurkers after 30 minutes. Lurkers are the backbone of the community and forcing people to go out of lurk mode and interact with the stream every half hour goes against the whole idea of lurking. Not everyone wants to visibly present or acknowledged in a stream and many others are unable to since they are multitasking and listening to the stream at work or while doing chores. I wish the platform would resolve this issue and stop punishing lurkers.

Hey there, @ContentDelta here. In my writing process I do a lot of research and part of that is watching other videos in and around the topic I am researching for.
This is a video from a long time ago, so I can't remember my process for this video, but the hook may have gotten stuck in my brain when I started writing and I didn't realise where it was from.
I highly respect Eljay and everything that he does for the streaming industry. However, when you make videos around similar topics, this can happen.

@anniefuchsia @Awk20000 According to the official Simulcasting (stupid name) guidelines: You can not use 3rd parties to combine features such as Chat.
It says nothing about separated chats, so that must be legal. Just have multiple chat boxes.
