There’s this perception that it’s difficult but in reality basically no one even tries. - Only 10% of Podcasts survive to episode 3. 90% of those quit before episode 20. You are in the top 1% of surviving podcasts if you upload just 21 episodes. - About 85% of Youtube channels don’t upload more than 5 videos. - About 90% of creators quit within 90 days of starting their channel, on any platform. - In livestreaming, over 70% of streamers quit by 6 months. 90% will quit within their first year. - 10% of X users are responsible for 92% of all tweets. (Pew Research Center) - If you upload 20 pieces of content consistently on any platform you are past 99% of people who ever tried. - A 26-week study (by Buffer) of 100,000+ creators showed that if you post in 20 or more weeks in the 26 week window you see 450% more growth than if you post in 4 week windows or fewer, *regardless of your content quality.* If you take 100 people interested in content creation who you think you are competing with, you are really competing with only a single person out of those 100 who might stay consistent. That person is probably not even in your niche. Your success in content creation depends on your ability to push past fear and post consistently. Just a reminder that you are never competing against anyone in content creation. You’re competing against yourself.

I genuinely love the creativity on display with #streamerbot here, but I kinda hate the functionality. Automated go live messages on Twitter won't help you grow. You aren't providing value to your audience!

@marvlocked Providing context and tailor making it to the stream is absolutely better, but personally: It should be part of a greater content strategy. If your Twitter posts are 75% "Going Live", you are probably not going to get much back from it.

@ContentDelta I think it's pretty nice if you provide context and make each post special/customized. Just a basic "Hey everyone, I'm live" is boring indeed

@ContentDelta Also, I've been noticing a lot more bigger streamers running additional 24/7 channels, i wonder if this move by Twitch was to counter these types of channels earning ad revenue for essentially 100s-1000s of lurkers?

Twitch is a rollercoaster this week. This is a terrible update. - Lurkers are forced to watch ads even when they are just doing their own thing. - Users needing to watch 13(!) hours for drops can't do that muted anymore. - Streamers now can't be 100% sure when ads are playing or not. Revert this immediately.

WoW Midnight is going to be awesome, and you won't get to see anything of it. There is one game I will never make content for and it is World of Warcraft, because I love the game and early in my creator journey I chose -that- as my offline game. It is the one game I can play and never feel pressure to create content out of it and it has saved my mental health more than you'd know. As a gaming creator, please pick one game/genre to never create content about to save some of the relaxed gaming magic.

Since a week or so now, whenever I try and see my channel on @TikTok I am greeted by this. I don't know what is going on and have contacted TikTok about it, but am getting nothing but automated replies. Can anyone enlighten me what happened or do I just start from scratch with a new channel?

While we have no official confirmation from @Twitch, I have not seen any evidence of this outside of people using the "Real Viewer Number" extension. The author of this extension has said on record that the number is inaccurate. It counts: - Bots like StreamElements and Sery_Bot - People with 3 or more tabs open Both of which are filtered out by Twitch.

Do we know this as fact? There’s so much misinformation when it comes to how Twitch analyzes data, with only anecdotal experience. I’ll be charitable and say that lurkers make up 50% of my viewership. I seriously doubt viewers are no longer being counted after 30 minutes.
