I came to Baltimore as a teacher. My first classroom didn't have a doorknob. For a full year I carried a pair of scissors in my pocket just to get in and out of the room. That doorknob — or the lack of one — made me want to be part of building a system that says to every person, in every neighborhood, in every school: you matter. You belong here. This place was built for you. That experience is a big part of why I ran for office — and why I'm still here. This is Francis Scott Key Elementary and Middle School in Locust Point. We just secured $1.5 million this session for new bathrooms, classroom furniture, and lockers. Baltimore has rebuilt or renovated more school buildings than any other urban district in the country — 14 of them right here in the 46th District. Every kid deserves a school that tells them they belong. Early voting starts June 11. Election Day is June 23

A year ago, I called for RFK Jr. to resign or be fired. A year later, I’m still calling for it. We cannot afford incompetence when lives are on the line.

It's amazing how quickly the storied Baltimore Sun has turned into a hack paper which apparently only exists to engage in partisan, bad-faith character assassination and right wing rants. Wes Moore served his country in uniform. That's deserving of respect, full stop.

Not ever.” Earlier this week at UMBC, we had an important conversation about the growing influence of AAPI voters, the dangers of misinformation, and how essential representation and respect is in our democracy. @FOXBaltimore @MolotovFlicker The BPD had a dirt bike task force. It got nationally recognized for going after illegal dirt bike riders. Then he got elected and had a dirt bike advocate on his staff and “poof” no more task force. Now he wants to what?

The city is cracking down on dirt bike riders, who almost never hurt anyone, after a rider died because a car pulled in front of them. Does that make sense when drivers hurt and kill people every single day with impunity? Dirt bike riders are no threat to me, car drivers, though
