Valdes wasn't better than Raya, not by a long shot. He was an average goalkeeper at the very best. Alves was good and you could say that Timber is of that mould. They're similar ages where they were in their peak and Timber gets better year on year. Pique may be slightly better than Saliba. But not Gabriel. Barcelona still won without him Arsenal do not look nearly as imposing without Gabriel. Jordi Alba? Ahead of Ashley Cole? Nope. Also Calafiori has been missing and he's another who's influence is obvious on the team. This isn't to say Calafiori is better. But Alba is not better than Cole. Busquets grew in to himself. But he was liability early on in his career as he mistimed tackles. He made a position his own with time. Xavi and Iniesta are ahead of anyone atm in our midfield for sure. But again they had 10-15 years at the top. Many of our midfielders are still mid 20s and developing. David Villa was a good striker, but he was a fox in the box. He played better off a big man. Him and Torres for Spain were unreal. All's I'm saying is many of these comparisons are stupid from both sides.

You can argue for Rice, that’s it, and again, that’s being generous. - Forwards. Messi walks in over Saka ofc. Iniesta is light years ahead of anyone you’ve got in your squad so well done. If you think Gyokeres or Havertz are better than David Villa, jesus. If we’re honest it’s 9 or 10 Barca players and 1 or 2 Arsenal players. Cheers
