Villa selling Rogers for £100m+ and using that money to reinvest into building their squad to a level that can compete across Champs League and Prem is a great move for them imo.
I don’t think losing Rogers is THAT big a deal, even though he’s great

In my opinion excuses.
Emery is world class at submissive tactics. He adapts to the opponents and find their weaknesses.
Top managers don’t have that as a main trait. They dominate and play their way a lot more.
That’s why Emery isn’t a top team manager and never will be. Perfect for Villa though.
