Canadian rocket engineers are a rare breed. Wired to beat all odds, tough as nails, and keeping the flame of our nation’s ingenuity, grit and spirit alive and well. Here’s a behind the scenes look at a typical day at NordSpace’s test range. Powering through freezing temperatures and blizzards, day and night, fending off moose and bears, all in an effort to build Canada’s first ever sovereign space launch capability.
With many new technical advancements around the bend, our first suborbital launch coming up, breaking ground on Spaceport Canada, regulatory and launch licensing progress, the Canadian Space Launch Conference in Ottawa this April, and so much more - every single moment counts for NordSpace and Canada to get to orbit.
Unsurprisingly, we’ve got a lot of catching up to do as a nation. New Zealand, Australia, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Norway, Scotland, United Kingdom, and many others are far ahead of Canada with space launch. Canada is highly capable and ready, but there’s no time to lose. Our team at NordSpace has the right stuff to deliver this critical sovereign capability for our great nation all while reshoring thousands of jobs, billions of dollars, and strengthening our nation’s defence, economy, environment, and leadership.
We can’t do this alone, and need Team Canada to step up immediately. Let’s do this, let’s build something big! 🇨🇦
