@haris_blr There is nothing called pure vegetarian food if U mean it's plant based only. You won't survive if you were not to eat anything without plants.

@DocVatsa We live at least 80 years healthy and fit on pure veg food. Main thing is not to listen to waste comments from neo proteinjeets.

He gives typical biased info. Egg gives- all 9 essential amino acids. Complete proteinsource High choline- for nerves and brain function vit B12, vit A, biotin, selenium, lutein, & zeaxanthin (help eye health) 72 calories, easy to make Most western vegetarians eat egg
ANI@ANI

#WATCH | Kolkata | On West Bengal mid-day meal replacing egg with paneer and soybean, ISKCON Kolkata Vice President and spokesperson Radharaman Das says, "100 grams of egg contains 13 grams of protein. In contrast, 100 grams of soya chunks contains 52 to 54 grams of protein, which is significantly higher... Lentils, commonly consumed in vegetarian households, on average, contain 25 grams of protein... Paneer, which contains 22 grams of protein... I was comparing protein consumption levels across Indian states with large vegetarian populations—such as Rajasthan, where 61% of people are vegetarian, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Surprisingly, protein consumption is highest in these very states. Conversely, in Bengal and the Northeastern states, where meat consumption is common, protein intake is lower... It is truly unfortunate that such misinformation is being spread..." He also says, "There is a common perception that being Bengali is synonymous with eating fish and rice. But wasn't Chaitanya Mahaprabhu a Bengali? It is his Vaishnava tradition—he who is considered an ideal Bengali—that we follow through ISKCON. ISKCON's Founder-Acharya, Prabhupada, was also a Bengali who took ISKCON and the spirit of Krishna consciousness to the entire world. Today, there are 80 million vegetarians across the globe living very happy and contented lives..."

@DocVatsa I think egg is the best one. ISKCON cannot be blamed as they provide free food service with better quality. Since, they themselves are veggies - they will never serve egg. Rather BJP WB govt took advantage of them in this context. in fact, BJP can give egg in the breakfast

@thee_ksha Plants are alive too. They give us oxygen which is absolutely vital for us. Why eat them? If you really have to eat them why engage them in fields, let them grow wild and harvest them. Same for fruits etc????

@DocVatsa Soya chunks have a complete amino acid profile, are cholesterol free, and don't involve the exploitation of the female reproductive system. If you want to consume eggs, at least buy free range eggs. Don't confine hens to small cages and treat them like egg laying machines.

@HinduDragoon Evolution has not eliminated monkeys either. BTW bacteria and other micro organisms are not plants. Basically no one is vegetarian actually.

Abhinay Maths@abhinaymaths

This is classical example of how marketing twists scientific basics for profiteering and creats new issues. Dolo 650 was/is a 'scam'. 1000 mg or 500 mg are the norms, not 'variants'. Paracetamol in adequate dose is an effective antipyretic and mildly anti- inflammatory.
Karthik 🇮🇳@beastoftraal

@bombayrains Thank you - this is helpful! I had no idea about 1000mg paracetamols. Just checked and noticed Dolo too having a 1000mg variant!

🚨 Massive controversy erupt in Wadala (East) ahead of #MumbaiMonsoon. While private contractors were paid crores for mechanical drain cleaning, residents of LBS Nagar & Korba Salt Pans caught them using child laborers to manually haul toxic garbage out of deep nullahs with zero protective equipment. This isn't just a scam; it’s a criminal violation of child rights. Strict action needed NOW! 🚨 #MumbaiNews #BMC #ChildExploitation @mybmc @CPMumbaiPolice @NCPCR

Have worked in mainstream hospitality for a decade, and I can confirm this. Indians act with so much entitlement it is scary. I remember a man who had the audacity to come to a resort in Yercaud on a cliff amidst a forest, and complain about monkeys. When we told him this is their natural habitat, he asked for the CEOs number so he could suggested covering the entire resort with a large net. 😒😒😒😒
Madhusree Goswami@Madhusree24

My family runs a homestay in the hills of Darjeeling and it goes without saying that we have to deal with all kinds of people. However, we have noticed some things that seem to be uniform behaviour for all Indians: a) They will dirty the room, and not spare even the pillows,

Good morning! Just got to know this! 1/2 A whole government Ministry is unleashed on me - because I speak against unscientific practices and primitive traditional healthcare that can harm, I communicate scientific information for public and patients alike. This was an official memo released during the Ministry of Ayush meeting on 12-6-2026 fully dedicated towards shutting down my social media presence. Imagine - the people in this meeting were eating biscuits and drinking tea, paid for by the citizens of the country - to decide how to gag and shutdown a citizen doctor who educates people on medical science via social media. Yesterday, my Instagram account was briefly hacked, but I got back control and removed unauthorized access within an hour. The Article 51A(h) of the Indian Constitution outlines the fundamental duty of every citizen to develop a "scientific temper, humanism, and the spirit of inquiry and reform". Added during the 42nd Amendment in 1976, this non-justiciable directive promotes logical reasoning, critical thinking, and rationality. The Ayush system is not scientific, it kills scientific temper, it does not promote the spirit of inquiry, it lacks logical reasoning, has the deadest version of critical thinking and none of its products and practices are rational. The only thing that needs to be shut down, is an unscientific body like Ayush that goes against the Indian Constitution and wastes public tax money... and not me. Also, please look closely at the person at the end, who is copied to, by the Ministry. His name is Vaidya K P Manikandan and he is the owner and founder of CNS Ayurveda Hospital, where children are treated for chronic conditions such as severe mental health disorders, autism and epilepsy (please see an official release from the hospital in the next post). One such victim of his was saved by my team (we reported it: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36299672/) and he put a criminal defamation case against me and the authors (for publishing a scientific peer reviewed paper!) which was later "stayed" by the High Court of Kerala. This has nothing to do with service to patients, but everything to do with protecting the business of alternative medicine (especially Ayurveda). These low life complaintants should be ashamed.
