Speaking about the deep contradictions in human nature, Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada said: “Some people dream of having a swimming pool at home, while those who have one barely use it. Those who have lost a loved one feel a profound sense of loss, while others often complain about the relatives still in their lives. Those without a partner long for one, while those who have a partner often fail to appreciate them. The hungry would give anything for a meal, while the full complain about the taste of their food. Those without a car dream of owning one, while those who have a car are always looking for a better one. The key to happiness is gratitude—to truly see and value what we already have, and to understand that somewhere, someone would give everything for what we take for granted.”

Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's approval rating has plummeted from a record high of 79.5% to 56.0% with disapproval skyrocketing from 15.0% to 35.9%. This comes after she refused to establish a cap on immigration despite winning a supermajority on an Anti immigration platform.

🚨 JUST IN: Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly just got CAUGHT in an EGREGIOUS lie that the SAVE America Act would force every single American to re-register to vote "It's the SAVE Americans From The Right To Vote Act!" "EVERYONE would have to re-register!" HE'S WRONG. This is not true! Non-citizens get purged via the SAVE System. All they have is lies. Pass it! H/t @RNCResearch

@JessePeltan For those who doubt this, go and test drive a Tesla. They’re amazing to drive; mind blowing when you engage Full Self Driving.

Today, I journeyed to an obscure part of the Capitol basement to see the long-awaited plaque honoring the police officers who defended Congress and America against Trump’s insurrectionary mob on January 6, 2021. To his credit, Sen. Tillis joined Democrats in demanding it be put up, but this spot is not accessible to the public. Speaker Johnson, come on—put the plaque in its rightful place of honor.

@AVGirl4Life Illegal aliens, yes. I wouldn’t deport green card holders for jaywalking or speeding, but definitely for theft or fraud.

Walk into an Apple Store in Japan and everything is just… out. No tethers. No alarms. No security guards hovering. High trust society. Now try that in San Francisco or NYC and the entire display would be gone before you finish saying “iPhone.”

Can you tell me again how a bill to prevent noncitizen voting would destroy “our democracy”? It’s not making sense—to anyone. Pass the SAVE America Act.

@Bitcoin_Teddy No, we didn’t pay $3200 for rent or $10 for eggs, but we only made $2-3 an hour. I closed out my bank account a few times because I was out of food and out of cash between paychecks. Being young was never easy. Work hard; don’t waste money. Comfort comes later.

Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.” No, you didn’t. You didn’t pay $3200 for rent and $10 for eggs. You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.

Grok: Does the SAVE Act require all current voters to re-register to vote with proof of American citizenship? **No, the SAVE America Act (H.R. 7296, also referred to as the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act) does not require all current registered voters to re-register or provide proof of citizenship simply to maintain their existing registration.** The bill's core requirement applies **prospectively** to new voter registration applications (or updates that involve re-registering). Key points from the bill text and analyses: - It amends the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to prohibit states from accepting or processing **any application to register to vote** in federal elections unless the applicant provides documentary proof of U.S. citizenship (e.g., passport, certain birth certificates with photo ID, REAL ID indicating citizenship, military records showing U.S. birthplace, etc.). - The language focuses on **applicants** at the time of registration: "a State may not register an individual to vote... unless, at the time the individual applies to register to vote, the individual provides documentary proof of United States citizenship." - It does **not** mandate a mass re-registration or retroactive proof requirement for people already registered before the bill's effective date (which would be upon enactment, applying to applications submitted thereafter). However, the bill **would indirectly affect** some currently registered voters in these ways: - If a registered voter needs to **update their registration** (e.g., due to a change of address, name change, party affiliation switch, or other circumstances that require submitting a new or updated application), they would then need to provide documentary proof of citizenship. - The bill includes provisions for states to conduct ongoing voter list maintenance, including using federal databases (e.g., from DHS) to identify and potentially remove non-citizens from rolls, with notification processes. This could lead to challenges or removals for flagged individuals (who could then provide proof to stay registered), but it is not a blanket re-registration mandate for all voters. This distinction is consistent across versions of the SAVE Act family (including prior H.R. 8281 and H.R. 22), as confirmed by official bill summaries on Congress.gov, analyses from nonpartisan sources like the Bipartisan Policy Center and FactCheck.org, and critiques from groups like the Brennan Center and Campaign Legal Center. In short: Existing voters stay registered without action unless they trigger a registration update or are flagged through list maintenance processes. The proof requirement kicks in only for new registrations or qualifying updates. For the full text, see Congress.gov (H.R. 7296).
