@JoaquinCastrotx @LeslieMarshall Does this empathy extend to all US citizens serving their sentences in jail while having a family member dying or is it just for non citizens?

Kevin González is only 18. He is suffering from stage 4 colon cancer and has days to live. He’s desperate to spend his last moments with his parents, but ICE detained his mom and dad after they tried to seek humanitarian asylum. This is the total cruelty of Trump’s mass deportation machine. I'm asking for Kevin’s parents to be released immediately so that they can be with their son. nbcchicago.com/news/local/chi…

Looks like Susan Collins told NYT I’m “cruel.” Senator: if there was a nicer way to get you to comment on a condition you’ve avoided disclosing for the ~30 years you’ve been in office, I would’ve done it. You’re 73 years old. 5 of your colleagues died this term alone. It is the height of entitlement that you can’t see why people would have questions about your health.

Day 7 - Musk v. Altman OpenAI Lawsuit trial Shivon Zilis lies "ROMANCE" with Elon Musk. 💥The “romance” is a PR tactic. Shivon is protecting herself from the investors that she betrayed as well. By standing close to Elon, it appears on the surface she is on his side. Yet, the truth is that she systematically betrayed Elon and the investors too. THERE IS NO “romance” at all other than the nonsense performance by Shivon Zilis this past year in public. Her falsified ROMANTIC ANTICS are to save herself in this case. After seeing the entire discovery process and the depositions, along with all those missing emails, it’s becoming increasingly clear that she did everything to protect herself, to be able to say, 'Oh, I was confused', and to smear Musk. ✅Because obviously, the more she drags Musk’s name through the mud, the more she protects herself, her money, and all of OpenAI. It is 100% that she hates Musk. 🚨Anyone would understand that if the feelings aren't mutual, they just aren't there, but this is a level of hatred that goes way beyond simple rejection. Seeing everything in her emails, her messages, and the traps she laid for him... it’s like having someone close to you who was planning Musk's destruction the whole time. Shivon Zilis testifying at this trial, she is not helping him, firstly, because she can’t incriminate herself. She is trying to use the 'romantic' trap to see if she can dodge responsibility, etc. ‼️‼️Shivon Zilis interactions with Elon Musk are all by contract too. The behavioral dynamics between them consistently appears as employee/boss vibes rather than anything remotely intimate between them. EVERYTHING she tries to manipulate has a competitive edge with a desire to get ahead of everyone else at all costs. There is nothing romantic between them. Even ‘holding hands’ seemed cringe-worthy and awkward to most. The media didn’t hardly pick it up either because it looked so uncomfortable and forced between them. Her public image has deteriorated dramatically over the past year. This decline began with her behavior involving the children, treating them as if they were commodities rather than people, and forcing him to accept decisions that she herself imposed, ordering them as if she were buying apples, forcing him to accept them when it's she who orders them. She then continued by pursuing him publicly, attempting to appear influential in Elon’s life, despite having been merely an employee and someone who facilitated the arrangement involving the children. All of this seemed motivated by a desire for attention. All for the spotlight. Because of this disturbing and abnormal behavior, the @OpenAI messages emerged only after she became involved in the lawsuit. She consulted Altman before entering the legal dispute. Given the large amounts of money involved, this could suggest a strategic attempt to insert a “Trojan horse” into the case and sabotage it from within. Furthermore, her continued alignment with Hoffman as recently as June 2025 raises questions about whether she is still being influenced or controlled. Her attempts to repair her damaged public image, such as pressuring Musk to publicly associate with her, appear misguided, as trust, once lost, cannot simply be restored. 👉She's also trying to prove to Hoffman or Altman or everyone that she can still manipulate Musk from within, that she's still useful, and see if they don't throw her to the dogs. What once appeared to be independence and self-sufficiency has gradually collapsed. Each effort to improve her image has instead made it worse, potentially leading to increased paranoia, emotional instability, and personal suffering. 💥🚨‼️Everything for lunatic Shivon Zilis will begin once this OpenAI trial is over.

“China compounds the challenge. The U.S.’s biggest rival has long served as a clearinghouse for American and European-made components that could be diverted to drone factories in Iran and Russia, according to the former Treasury officials. Increasingly, they say, those components are being made inside China itself, often by small factories that don’t fear Western sanctions.” wsj.com/world/china-is…

How is this a SpaceX project, and not a Tesla or joint Tesla & SpaceX project? Not to say that SpaceX has no expertise in these fields, but semiconductors, manufacturing, and advanced computing is more of a Tesla than a SpaceX thing. This is wrong to $TSLA shareholders. @elonmusk is favoring SpaceX over Tesla, probably because he has a significantly larger stake in SpaceX.
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

SpaceX wants to build a $55 billion next-generation, vertically integrated semiconductor manufacturing and advanced computing fabrication facility in Grimes county, Texas, according to a new filing. • Proposed investment: $55B upfront, up to $119B total • Focus: semiconductor manufacturing + advanced computing • Location: Grimes County, TX From the filing: "SpaceX proposes construction of a multi-phase, next-generation, vertically integrated semiconductor manufacturing and advanced computing fabrication facility, which would represent a transformative investment in domestic semiconductor manufacturing capacity. Estimated capital investment for the initial phases is $55 billion, with an estimated total capital investment (if additional phases are constructed) of $119 billion." The Grimes County Commissioners Court is scheduled to hold a public hearing at 9 AM on June 3, 2026, at the Grimes County Justice & Business Center, to consider approval of a property tax abatement agreement. Grimes County is a little over 2 hours from Austin. Source: kbtx.com/2026/05/05/gri…

Unless you have experience with Chinese schools you don't understand this sea change if implemented. My daughter's Chinese private school, students sat in class based upon their ranking in that class. My daughter would come home happy because she got seat boosted. In an odd way, China breeds competition from a very young age in ways the US does not

Who should it be returned to? The British Royal Family has had it since 1850, when it was given to Queen Victoria by the British East India Company. The British East India Company got it the year before, when it was surrendered by the then 10-year-old Maharaja Sir Duleep Singh of the Sikh Empire to the British at the end of the Second Anglo-Sikh War. He had it because he had been installed as Maharaja of the Sikh Empire in 1843 after a coup in 1839 and several years of instability. The Sikh Empire had it since 1813, when its founder, Ranjit Singh, took it from Shuja Shah Durrani after Shuja Shah Durrani was deposed and exiled from the Durrani Empire in Afghanistan. Shuja Shah Durrani claims that Ranjit Singh had his son tortured until he gave him the diamond. Shuja Shah Durrani had it because the founder of the Durrani Empire, Ahmad Shah, was given it c. 1750 by either the grandson of Nader Shah or the head of Nader Shah's harem, following Nader Shah's assassination. Nader Shah was the founder of the Afsharid dynasty of Iran. He got it when he looted the Mughal Empire in India in 1739 and took it from the Peacock Throne of the Mughal emperors. Before that, it gets a little hazy. However, it appears to have bounced around the Mughal empire since 1526, occasionally being gifted or stolen (or stolen while being gifted). The Mughal Empire got it as ransom after Humayun, the son of Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire, got it in ransom for a family captured during the Battle of Panipat, in which the Mughal Empire was founded with the conquest of the Delhi Sultanate in northern India. The Delhi Sultanate had it since 1310, after it subjugated the Kakatiya dynasty of southern India. I wasn't able to easily determine where they got it from. So yeah, the British may have it as a result of colonialism and empire, but that colonialism and empire dates back to before the United Kingdom existed. Maybe the British Royals shouldn't keep it, but chances are that whoever they return it to is just the second-to-last (or third-to-last or fourth-to-last) conqueror of the diamond.

I want to ask people around the world who are not Japanese. At the restroom near Fushimi Inari Shrine last night — a sacred place — someone left diapers covered in feces and piles of trash in the hand-washing area and just walked away. Is this considered normal behavior where you come from? To whoever did this — what the hell is wrong with you? This isn’t just bad manners — it’s disgusting, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. This is a place of worship, not a garbage dump. If anyone thinks this kind of behavior is okay, that’s the problem. Clean up your own filth and learn some basic respect. Don’t you all agree?

Good thing Greg Brockman and Sam Altman stopped Elon from taking full control of OpenAI. No single human should control the path to AGI. OpenAI stayed true to the core idea: the nonprofit still controls the company, and Sam Altman has no equity. That matters more than people realize.
