Hurricane season officially starts today. Forget the forecast for a moment. If your power went out tonight for 7 days: • How would you cook? • How would you charge your phone? • How much water do you have? • What if your child was at school? • What if you couldn't contact your spouse? • What if gas stations were empty? Most people prepare for the storm. Very few prepare for the week after. Take 15 minutes tonight and sit down with your family to plan for a simple but realistic scenario: what happens if the power is out for a week?

It's not a matter of one or two bad endorsements here or there. Trump has done more to install a generation of corporatists Republicans throughout the reddest of states than anyone else could have done. It's hard to move beyond this until we fix the problem.

I have a personal @SteveHilton tale to tell. When he was hosting a Fox show, I hardly watched. I thought he was a super intelligent guy but mildly entertaining. When he announced his run for governor, I thought “hmmm.” Then, he and I connected right here on @X. We made a date for lunch on his very busy campaign trail. Just Steve and I, no handlers. We had an amazing conversation. We talked about some of the many problems, and challenges, California has. He had a grasp on everything! Deep, researched knowledge. I probed him on some of the issues that only a Californian would know. He handled them deftly. Steve and I met again at one of his town halls shortly thereafter. I stood in the back and watched. The room was packed, the passion was brimming, and Steve had ALL the answers. And, then I delved into his opposition. Not even close, for a multitude of reasons. I had my candidate, @SteveHiltonx. Tomorrow night, Nichole and I will be in Huntington Beach, with Steve, to watch him win. Join me!
