🌅 Just rewatching this Tofino sunset I shot from '23 and dang… still hits different. Rugged wild west coast aura, ancient rainforests, epic surf, and whales playing in the waves. They call it the "Hawaii of Canada" for a reason... mild, moody, and ridiculously beautiful. Small town energy with big soul (and bigger prices😂). Worth every penny though. #tofino #sunset

I barely use my cast iron cookware anymore because of how well my carbon steel performs and how easy it is to maintain. 1) It’s 1/3 the weight of cast iron 2) I don’t have to worry about excessive iron levels 3) The handle doesn’t get blazing hot 4) I don’t have to baby the seasoning. I can scrub it with steel wool and cook non stick eggs with it the next day Just make sure it’s completely dry to avoid rust! Links below

Erik, a slight addendum on your post. TFSA note: Withdrawals restore your full contribution room (incl. gains) on Jan 1 next year... not lost forever whatsoever. Re-contribute tax-free then, including the room gained on the investments (sadly, an investment loss works in the opposite sense). I literally had to do this while being unemployed for 18 months, writing my first sci-fi novel. This makes TFSA flexible for life’s events like unemployment, when EI only covers you so long... Occasional withdrawals won’t erase decades of progress as room grows with you over time. *First and foremost, max out your TFSA before any other vehicle in Canada as a young investor/person. Only other vehicle I would suggest is the FHSA, also an awesome tool for young people. Don't let 3-6 months of money sit in a low interest savings account. That seems silly to me as most Canadians are not maxing out their TFSA's, and those that do, generally don't have to worry about an emergency fund.

Who does sushi best outside of Japan? I have travelled to about 33 countries, including Japan and I think I have to admit a truth. Vancouver and the GVA has the best sushi, quality and choice of fish I've ever noticed, outside of Japan.
