Saw an article that explains the problem in the GOP: Beautiful Losers. Beautiful Losers are described as “men and women who maintain their moral and intellectual purity while losing cultural and political battles. They are reasonable and civil, but losers nevertheless. They would rather be defeated, with grace and dignity intact, than win at the cost of being crass, vulgar, or harsh. This explains the NeverTrumpers and Panicans in the Republican Party today. The Massie types. The Thune types. Tradition over action. Platitudes over progress. Donald Trump is the opposite of this. He believes in winning at all costs even if it doesn’t pass the purity tests. It’s why he’s so effective. Win at all costs. We are at a crossroads for the American experiment. We can manage the decline and fall like every other dynasty the last 2000 years; or we can break the wheel. We must be a party of action. We won’t get this chance again with Trump in the White House and control of all 3 branches. Make meaningful changes or get out of the way, Beautiful Losers.
