This is why having a secondary market is important. If you got scammed buying on a secondary exchange, you’re entitled to a full refund.

It’s literally a bracelet. You can buy the safari package and get artists passes. You can also get them from artists and their teams. It’s not illegal to sell like you claimed it was equal to drugs. If you can’t understand someone stole from someone else in this transaction, I don’t know what to tell you.

@Ticket_Help2022 If you cannot differentiate between a not-available-for-purchase security credential that gets you backstage and a marketed, ticketed VIP pass that gets you an elevated experience I do not know what to tell you.

@JSYK It’s a bracelet not contraband. You’re clearly on the wrong side of this if you read any of their comments. They were scammed and wouldn’t have been if they used a secondary market. End of story

@Ticket_Help2022 For a social justice account you are very gas-lighty. And if your position is that secondary markets should also allow for contraband to be sold, you are not likely to find a lot of support.

@JSYK Artists passes have been bought and sold on the secondary before. Also this is about overall, there are people fighting against any secondary website existing.

@Ticket_Help2022 I am sorry they got scammed. That really sucks. But your assignment that somehow a more functional secondary marketplace would've helped them is incorrect as they would never have been able to buy that sort of pass there in the first place.

Seemingly siding with scammers who stole from people, calling it street justice for someone who was a victim of theft is odd. Of course the festival knows about buying and selling passes, but that has zero to do with this situation. It’s just “influencers” scamming people. Wouldn’t have happened with the secondary market that’s all.

@Ticket_Help2022 I agree that having a secure secondary platform is important, but this is a street justice situation. You are naive to think the festival does not know about the buying and selling of passes.

@JSYK They would have no clue if an artist pass was sold on the secondary to deactivate it. This is not at all foreign especially for Coachella. Artists passes are sold year in and out. Either way, these girls were entirely scammed and had money stolen from them with zero protection.

@Ticket_Help2022 These are not tickets they are credentials. There are restrictions and responsibilities associated. They are meant for people working who require access to do their jobs. They should never be bought or sold, and if any appear on any marketplace they are immediately deactivated.

@JSYK Not transferable or intended to be resold isn’t breaking a law like a drug deal. Also worst case they could have gotten vip on the secondary. People they bought from completely stole from them. That can’t happen with a secondary market.
