Itโs all medical fraud. After my daughterโs pediatrician at Kaiser Permanente tried to put her on puberty blockers and wrong-sex hormones when she was only 14, I did an undercover story when I pretended to be โnonbinary.โ I was approved by my Kaiser doctors over Zoom for a double mastectomy (top surgery) and a phalloplasty (fake p*nis) made from the skin tissue on my thigh in under 9 months. It was only a $100 co-pay for my elective mastectomy and $200 co-pay for my phalloplasty yet the surgeons would bill $25k for mastectomy and $135k for the phalloplasty. @FTC @SwipeWright @aboutKP

I started at 26. I'm 28 now.
I'm content with my progress so far but I'm also aware that I'm still on the front end of this journey. Without a doubt, transitioning was the most liberating action I've ever taken.

@buffvanhuge @LinkofSunshine Which is the primary focus of conversation, not desist rate. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a worthless metric by any means! What I'm saying is, we have no information regarding the mental health outcomes of each group and how they compare... and the sample size is tiny

@buffvanhuge @LinkofSunshine Source 2 is stronger than the others, so I went ahead and read it in full. I'm noticing that the sample size is only 139, which, granted, is enough to produce some weak evidence! It's very low, though. Also, this study fails to compare health outcomes between desisters/persisters

also something I've noticed as I've transitioned is that people are waaaaaay less willing to believe a woman is autistic and will immediately accuse you of being rude or thinking you're better than everyone

@Jade__Parade @LinkofSunshine 1. I'm not arguing for a cure to gender dysphoria. We can't go in and manually fix it. It resolves on its own without intervention. This has been known for decades at this point

@Jade__Parade @LinkofSunshine Ok, let's put that to the test then. Someone with BID approaches a doctor and says "this hand that is connected to my arm is not mine. It's perfectly functional, I just don't want it. Cut it off." Should the doctor perform the surgery?
