@SBaboo59 @Am_hailey I understand. However, FB is a thing and there are other vectors for this that are well understood by her demographic. Sometimes, you have to be the one to go first. I'm 60 myself, and just sharing what I'd do in her place.

Well this is disappointing. I live in a smallish town. A woman my age (60), at a similar place in life, posted on a local FB page that she didn't really know anyone here and wondered what there was to do and would anyone like to get together for coffee. I'm sorta in the same boat and rarely leave my front porch much less socialize. So I got brave and said I would meet her. We messaged a bit and agreed to 9am this morning. I was up at 430 this morning prepping myself mentally, making sure my clothes were in order and overall trying to quell anxiety and yet really proud of myself for doing this. I got here at 8:55. It's now 9:30... But hey, I got dressed cute and sat in a coffee shop by myself and that's a big deal on It's own.

@SkylarSkye3 You can drive across the entire NA landmass with a proper driver's license unless Canada has changed this recently. I have done it myself. People drive into MX every day and return on just a DL.

Thing about being self employed is that you'll have to work for free sometimes. As a broker I would sometimes do 6 months of work with a client for it to go no where. That's also why retard commie real estate brokers tried to force salary pay for non salary type positions

@middle_class_us I'm making about as good as I ever did. It would be an accomplishment for anybody to be as broke as I have been before (I've been divorced twice). We're talking Negative Elon types of numbers here, or at least it felt like it at the time.

The most common sentence being said by working Americans right now? I am making the most money I have ever made in my life. And I am the brokest I have ever been. That sentence should not be possible. It is the definition of a broken economy. The paycheck went up. Everything else went up faster. And the gap between them keeps growing.

@brockpierson We went to Marriage Counseling. I would have done anything not to be driven away from my kids (which happened anyway). I was desperate. At the time if someone said he could piss my problems away, I'd have said fine, for my kids. I'd probably have held his dick for him.

Everyone says cash is king. Try paying rent with cash. Most landlords won’t take it. Most apps won’t process it. Most banks charge you to deposit it. The system doesn’t want your cash. It wants your debt. Debt generates interest. Cash doesn’t generate anything for them.
