3 days ago Michael Ma met with the Chinese ambassador. Do some research on the CCP and what happened to Joe Tay. Last week Ma stood in the House of Commons and berated Mark Carney and said he and the Liberals are responsible for the affordability and food bank crisis. Foreign interference is a massive threat to Canada. Canada is seriously compromised under Liberal rule.

I spoke yesterday with @PremierScottMoe about China’s preliminary anti-dumping duties on Canadian canola seed. If maintained, these unjustified duties will have significant impacts on many Canadian farmers. Premier Moe and I focused on a series of measures to support hard-working farmers who provide world-class food to Canadians and our trading partners throughout the world.    The Premier and I agreed to engage directly with industry leaders in the near term to discuss the options and to build on yesterday’s meetings of Canada’s Minister of Agriculture and Minister of International Trade with many of our leading canola producers and exporters.   Canada does not dump canola. Canadian canola products meet the highest standards, and our inspection systems are robust. We will advance a constructive dialogue with Chinese officials to address our respective trade concerns, while diversifying our trade abroad and supporting our canola producers at home.

Monday is grocery day for me. As I was scrolling through the flyers on Flip, I couldn’t help but notice that Galen Weston’s No Frills stores are now charging $14 for the Galen Weston No Name brand coffee that was $12 two weeks ago. No Name brand coffee beans are not imported; they are roasted, ground, and packaged in Canada. The beans themselves are imported from South America. This has nothing to do with tariffs and everything to do with greed. I wonder why?
