The husband's advocate who "helped." The judge who "decided." Different designations. One direction. One wallet. The husband's. This is not a coincidence. This is a supply chain. Entry point: emotional vulnerability. Product: manufactured conflict. Raw material: a struggling marriage. Output: extracted wealth. No laws broken. Everything perfectly legal. This industry runs at an estimated Rs. 10,000 crore annually. Across every metro. Every tier-2 city. Targeting educated, dual-income urban couples. The constitution lists victims. The husband is not among them. That word. Deliberately absent. He will work for the next 20 years. Not for his dream. For a settlement he signed. Under a system that never once asked his side. Yesterday, in a prayerful mood, I visited the 800-year-old Sri Santhana Venugopala Swamy Temple at Mahadevpura near Bibinagar, a temple dating back to the Kakatiya era. To my surprise, a Mazar has appeared under the sacred Ashwatha (Banyan) tree around which devotees traditionally perform pradakshina as part of temple worship. How and why was a Mazar established inside a Hindu temple campus, beneath one of its most sacred trees? Was this done with the knowledge and consent of the temple authorities and devotees, or was it an overnight encroachment? These are questions that deserve clear answers.

I know of one medical college in India that does not allow girls (from first-year MBBS to SS residents) to stay in the library after 9 PM, even during exam study holiday days, but permits all boys to use the library 24/7, even though everyone pays the same fees. The college library has 24/7 CCTV monitoring. FYI:I am not talking about my college.
